OTHER INFORMATION

" Gibson, if elected, would be one of a few openly gay members of the U.S. House of Representatives. He mentioned his personal life as a snippet of who he is, however, and says his sexual orientation has nothing to do with policy or belief." **Information received after panel evaluations occurred.

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I am pro-life and pro-constitution. If the Supreme Court rules that states have the right to decide on abortion issues, then funding should be left up to the voters in that state. But I do not believe any federal funding should support any pro-abortion organisation and as a voter would personally vote against any funding of any kind from a state or city level.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Agree

While a pro-life position supports lives of the innocent and unborn, I do feel there could be situations where a request for 'aid in dying" from a consenting adult, suffering with a terminal condition should be granted.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

When the life of the mother is in jeopardy or in the rare cases of incest/rape, but I feel this (regarding incest/rape) must only be considered at the earliest stages prior to the development of a heartbeat.

ECONOMY

Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.

Strongly Disagree

A safety net to help people get back on their feet should be provided, but not as an enabler of government dependency. Wealth redistribution that creates dependence on government handouts only increases the gap between the rich and poor. We need policies of empowerment over dependency.

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

I strongly agree that the government should cut, not projected spending, but actual spending. I believe this has become a national security issue and that drastic measures are necessary which includes eliminating departments of our federal government.

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

I believe we need to enact major changes to our tax code. Our corporate taxes should promote development and investment in U.S. based industry and support a 21% corporate tax rate. I also feel that we need to replace the impossible-to-understand existing tax code with a flat tax.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is liberty and liberty is most certainly under attack in this country. I believe we must always fight to protect and follow our constitution witch clearly states the separation between church and state and freedom of speech.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Religious liberty is a constitution guarantee, it's as simple as that.

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

The relationship is simple, it's the duty of the state to protect the rights of churches to function free of state interference.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

A zombie apocalypse is about the only crisis that I feel the government should require such an action, and that includes schools. This should always be a personal choice/right that we fight to protect. While I don't agree with the practice, I do believe there are circumstances where an employer may have the right require a vaccine.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

B. But ultimately, I believe the government should deregulate practices that prevent competition so that private health care can become attainable.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

C. But I view the word "intervention" as military. I think the United States can and should act as a supporter of democracy and peace, but through trade and economic policy. Having said that, I also believe we must honor our existing alliances as it relates to NATO, Israel etc. and fight through proxy and or direct intervention when global stability is at risk by acts of an evil actor, like China.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

I believe in a two state solution but do not align with the anti Israeli movement initiated by the leftist squad.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Couldn't agree more.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

I don't know that the United States can eradicate this threat, but we can start by revamping our foreign affairs policy to promote regional stabilisation over regime change. Many of the worst Islamic actors like ISIS were created after U.S. foreign policy destabilized regions through forced regime change. In addition to addressing this issue via foreign policy, we should continue to make it clear that any act against the U.S. or the U.S. citizens will be met with the full force of our military.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

We must build the wall and enforce existing immigration policy.

State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Our agriculture industry requires seasonal workers and, while the current H2A program is in need of an overhaul, it is necessary to allow this form of seasonal immigration. I believe we should continue to act as the world's leader in acceptance of immigration but put a priority on skilled labor and legitimate asylum seekers.

VALUES

Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Neutral

I do not believe these two items are related and therefore should not be combined in an argument for determining discrimination laws. Overall I believe in we should judge exclusively on the content of character but do not believe "protective classes" should be used as a tool to force a society to bypass biology for equality. Example, I believe men should not compete in women's sports and/or use women's public bathrooms.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

CRT is a racist, Marxist ideology, both of which have no place in the United States. We must eradicate this from all government institutions.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian and believe that the United States of America is the great because it establishes that individual liberty is a gift from God, no man or governmental entity, elected or not, has the right to violate that universal principal. I believe we are all equal in the eyes of the Lord and that we should always strive to inspire change by example.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Absolutely NOT

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

It is important that voting practices remain in the hands of the states. While I believe we should have one voting day, in person with proof of citizenship required, I think there is great danger in placing that in the hands of the federal government. Having said that, I believe congress should establish a national voting day and require forensic audits of all, all mail-in ballot elections for federal offices.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

In the United States, nothing should be government mandated based on race.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

It wasn't until the left began dividing us by pushing racist policy and harmful, race focused narratives. I grew up believing we were all created equal, that racism was evil and that we fought for generations to end racist practices. Today I'm told that I am racist because I am white, that my friends are oppressed because they are black. I believe that division is a threat to domestic security in the United States and that leftist policies are tearing the country apart. I believe we need to regain our believe in unity as Americans first.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

We produce energy cleaner than any other nation. Energy independence is a national security issue and I strongly believe in the practice of fracking to achieve that independence.

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A. I believe we will always move towards cleaner environmental practices and that forcing these practices through regulation is devastating and irresponsible from both an economic and national security standpoint.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

I believe in the constitution, small government, individual liberty and state rights over federal regulation. Not sure if that makes me "very conservative" or just "conservative" but feel that conservatism results in common sense policy, inclusion & equality and (should) result in fiscal responsibility.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

I have not.

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I believe that the United States is the greatest country on earth and that our universal believe in individual liberty is what's makes us exceptional. I also believe that our great nation is under attack from within and being torn apart with leftest ideology and anti-American efforts to eliminate free speech, open our boarders, destroy the idea of equality, create civil discourse etc. But I believe that we are capable of rising to this challenge and that we will take this country back in 2022. I believe in Trump's America First policies and have created an alliance of house, senate and state candidates called the America First P.A.C.T. who will work together to bring the much needed legislation needed to help the American people and get our country back on track. I believe we need term limits and that this must include all government jobs, not just elected positions. I believe we must enact major anti corruption legislation that will hold politicians accountable and eliminate practices like insider trading and wealth building through family proxy. I believe that food independence is as important as energy independence and that China is one of the greatest external threats facing our country. But I believe that the new, woke, leftist movement is ultimately the greatest threat to the United States. We must eradicate these evil and destructive ideological movements that are now dictating the direction of the Democratic Party and therefore branches of our federal government. Our time to fight back is now, and I believe we will rise to this challenge.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

Our law enforcement must again be allowed to fight crime. I will be donating 10% of my salary to support my district law enforcement.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

I support making crime illegal again while providing law enforcement with all the funding necessary to fight that crime.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Beyond background checks and exceptions in the case of mental health issues, I believe that the constitution is correct in securing the right to carry and bare arms.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Disagree

Only if those manufacturers have violated existing laws that resulted violence.
