QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I do not support abortion because in all circumstances, abortion is the taking of an innocent life. I believe that life starts at conception. Taking of that innocent life for various reasons is still the taking of an innocent life

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Government should not fund the taking of innocent lives.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Eliminate state and federal tax on social security benefits. The government REQUIRES people to pay into the social security system, but when social security was presented to the American people - it was never envisioned to be a funding source for government. Simply let the taxpayers keep more of the money they earn in their own pockets.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Stop the federal "student loan forgiveness program" and make people be responsible for themselves and the loans they agree to (whether it is for education, a car, a house or credit cards). Government was not established among men to pay off personal debts. The government is not going to reimburse students that paid for their own educations. Stop taking money from US taxpayers and giving it to foreign governments that do not like the USA. Montana has more than a Billion dollar budget surplus. The budget surplus that was funded in large part by Motana income tax and property taxes. This excess surplus should be returned (up to a set amount) to people that paid Montana income tax in 2021 and paid property taxes for thier personal residence. $100 million should also be used to pay down Montana's existing debt to reduce future interest payments.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

People are entitled to what they earn. Nobody should be forced to pay taxes on what they earn to fund someone else's choices in life (including a college education). It is theft to take from one person and give it to another person.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Services SHOULD NOT Be REQUIRED that violate a business or individual person's religious or moral beliefs. There are a lot of other places to shop.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

The government should never be allowed to close churches. Our country was founded on the idea of freedom of religion. The first part of the First Amendment simply states: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..." The founding fathers would not have put that at the beginning of the First Amendment if they did not think it was very important.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. Healthcare for All should not be funded by government. Likewise; car-care for all, lawn-care for all, child-care for all should also not be funded by government. It is theft to take from one person (in the way of forced tax payments) and give what was taken by force to someone else.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Vaccinations should never be MANDATED by a government, school or employer. Individual citizens should be allowed to determine what is placed inside their bodies or their children's bodies.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

To reduce terrorism, the USA should secure our borders, strictly enforce existing immigration laws, and build a stronger military.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

The USA should complete the wall to secure our southern border and strictly enforce the ALREADY EXISTING immigration laws.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

People should be allowed to legally immigrate to the USA under the existing immigration laws that are in presently in place.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

Education is a competitive market, with Home Schools, Charter Schools, Private Schools, and Public Schools are competing for student attendance. Many parents today are upset with what issues public schools are pushing on students and what public schools are teaching and not teaching. If one education system provider offers an educational product that parents consider superior (for their children/students) I support letting parents choose what education system they think best for their children.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

As a biologist, I believe in X and Y chromosomes, not gender identity interpretations.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Strongly Agree

Marriage has been considered to be between and man and a woman for thousands of years.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

This CRT is a ploy to further divide out country. United we stand, divided we fall. I have zero support for CRT.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am an every Sunday, Church-going, scripture-reading Christian.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Photo ID required. Voter Registration prior to election day.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

NO. Racism has never been a threat to domestic security in the USA. We have many races here.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

No one who has never been involved in slavery should be required to give reparations to anybody.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

NO. A strong economy will protect us from foreign enemies.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

I support national energy independence

Never been arrested, convicted or penalized for any crime of any kind in 72 years other than minor traffic violations 30+ years ago

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I am a strong conservative

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Disagree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

NONE

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
