In order for our students to go anywhere in the world and be successful, our school system must follow standards on the local, state and national levels. We are preparing global citizens to be college and career ready.

Political Activism we have to protect our public schools from corporate takeover. Public Schools should not be run by corporations but by the local government. The school turnaround plan has left empty buildings like Venetian Hills Elementary,teachers have lost their jobs and been forced to go through a re-hiring process. This practice has been allowed to run amok by the incumbent and must be stopped! Safety and nutrition. Students need a safe place to learn and they need the sustenance needed to focus and learn. Art & Music / Vocational Learning / Physical Fitness / Foreign Language / I.T. - All main reasons why students come to school. Once they are engaged in activities that foster creative development/career awareness, everything else falls into place. Field trips. Students need exposure in a group with their peers going to the zoo, eating at nice establishments, attending musicals / plays. I am a Christian because I was born into a Christian Family. My beliefs are rooted just as strongly as people born into other faiths. I teach this to my son, that no matter what faith we are, we can all coexist.

When I learned that the school board was behind this treachery, I realized that I needed to run for office to make things better! I have over 20+ years as an educator and advocate.
