QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Money from taxpayers should not fund abortions in any way.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
If the mother is in danger of losing her life.
ECONOMY
Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.
Strongly Disagree
Capitalism and our free market society allow for anyone to start their own business and pursue their own wealth.
The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.
Strongly Agree
Every process, department, agency, and corner of any government organization should be examined and audited to find ways to cut waste.
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
Abolish the IRS and have a flat rate for all Americans.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
Freedom of religion is a fundamental right to all Americans and should not be infringed in any way.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
There should always be a right to refuse services for any moral or religious belief. If a person does not agree with the business owner then they can choose to use a different business.
What should be the relationship between the church and the state?
Absolutely zero.
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
None. This should be a choice made by the parents only.
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
C would match my beliefs the closest but I am against government being involved in healthcare in any other form.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
C. I do believe we should help our allies, but we need to take care of our own people first.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Neutral
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Our pandering and catering to the CCP has gone on for far too long. It is time to stop the enablement of China from taking over the global economy while being built on that backs of slave laborers.
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
Having served in Iraq and hearing from the Iraqi people, we will probably never eradicate Islamic terrorism, but we should handle them with extreme prejudice if they decide to harm the US in any way.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
What are we without a border? Our Southern border is wide open now with the stop of the wall being built and billions of dollars are being wasted. It is time to build the wall and secure our borders for good.
State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
We are a nation of laws and we need to support the constitution of the United States. If these states or cities are going against the constitution then they should not receive funds.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Anyone who wants to immigrate legally. I am in favor of immigration to those who go through the legal process.
VALUES
Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
You are born either a male or female. Just because you choose to act as something else does not mean you should be protected.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Racism exists in every race of people. This is a push by the far left to control the masses and not let Americans heal from a very ugly past.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in God, and I believe in Jesus. Treat people how you would want to be treated.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
We have photo ID to drive a car but not to vote. To keep election integrity whole we should have to show ID to vote.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
The Federal government should not be involved with voting laws within the individual states.
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
I feel very sorry for the past and the people whose families have suffered from those acts but we are all able to live free and to pull ourselves out of bad situations. Money given to people because of race is not going to erase any of our history, nor will it move things forward.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
No. If we continue to move forward and not let the Democratic party push the narrative of racism we will not have the problems that we have had lately. Racism will probably always exist in some form but it is time to work together to build a better nation, one that is based on character and not race.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Agree
I agree that it should be used but every precaution should be taken to ensure the safety of the people living in the areas that it is being used.
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A. Sometimes the restrictions caused by the environmental lobby have hurt the very thing they were trying to save. The spotted owl in Oregon is a prime example of the misuse of law to shut down an entire industry on federal lands that in turn hurt the livelihood of the owl itself. Many people lost jobs and economies of small downs crashed and the owls worst predator was able to strengthen in numbers. We need to look at the EPA and the laws in affect and consider an entire audit of them.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
I believe we should take care in spending the people's money and we should not infringe on anyone's rights.
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
I do not have any at this time.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
My priority is to put the power back in the hands of Oregonians. I will support only legislation that restores liberty and that allows the freedom guaranteed by the constitution.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Disagree
Everyone should be subject to the same laws no matter the situation.
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Neutral
I believe this needs to be looked at very seriously before making any decisions. As a Mayor I have seen the benefits of having a mental health expert on the force with the police but I feel this should be an added position and not take away from what exists already.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
None other than if you are a felon you have given up your right to own a gun.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
The gun did not hurt the victim, the person pulling the trigger did. The blame should solely fall on the person firing the gun.
