I am a Christian and believe that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, my hope and future is in Jesus. I value family, the biblical word, the US constitution and the service to others that each teaches. I also value freedom, independence and the ability to practice one's own faith.

As a lifelong Houstonian and a strong supporter of education in our community, I know that our families, communities and most importantly, our children are in need of honest leadership for our public schools.

As a Mother of 3 children in both public and private education, I was very involved in all facets of the educational process. I was born and raised and educated in District VII, and understand the needs, issues and concerns of the citizens of District VII and the city of Houston. I have also served on various boards that serve the betterment of Houstonians and our visitors.

I know we have great opportunities and that our children need to be prepared to enter into all that is ahead. We need strong fundamentals to build on. All children have equal educational opportunities and improving educational outcomes.
