QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Rape and incest, until the final tri-semester. Individual liberty must be considered.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Agree

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Welfare without a work component, taxpayer support of lifestyle choices involving sexuality, political preference, journalist bias, subsidy for fossil fuel companies, increased tariffs applied to totalitarian nation-states, top to bottom examination of all programs for cost-benefit analysis and effectiveness.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Disagree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

None

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

All issues involve the application of common sense. Prayer in public schools in my opinion does not violate the constitutional church and state prohibition. Clear over-reaching involvement of dominant theological religious force into the functions of the state is cause for concern and violates the constitution. It's a question of balance in all things.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Agree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

By combining individual and family premiums with private sector contribution, government subsidy, church/non-denominational organization participation, and the competitive market place.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

I would first solve the issue of our current undocumented population with simultaneously securing the border and offering a clear path to citizenship with the payment over a 10-year period of a $10,000 fine for illegal entry. Such a program would also involve public service for everyone, including current American citizens should they decide to hold local, state, federal office.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality that is necessary for our system of limited government.

Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I was raised a Methodist, attending an Episcopal prep school, a Baptist college. My ancestors included Quakers and I have participated in Buddhism, Catholicism, observed positive Muslim expression abroad and in America. I respect and honor all people's faiths, so much as they do not dictate the behavior of others with respect to individual liberty.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

200+ films/hit TV shows lead actor, producer, international film funding expert, and screenwriter - work with Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, Antoine Fuqua, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tom Cruise, Naomi Watts, etc. CEO of Uncommon Dialogue Films, Inc.(UDF). Writer for magazines/ad agencies in NYC - TIME, LIFE, PEOPLE, INTERVIEW. Broadway/off-Broadway assistant director/director. Resident of California since 1987, participant in numerous CA charities. Father of two grown sons with no student debt.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

In every career endeavor and team in which I have been involved, I have always delivered effectively and joyously. The people of California are not being served with vision and solutions. I am non-partisan and empathetic to all with zero tolerance for crime and those who are not participating in the revitalization of the state. We need to unite to heal California and arrest the economic, ecological, educational, lack of opportunity freefall. We need to serve each other more fully to return our state to its position of global preeminence.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

No Answer

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Common sense existing gun laws that mitigate gun violence and criminal activity but don't hinder the free exercise of the 2nd amendment by responsible citizens. I encourage responsible training on a voluntary basis and advocate mandatory sentencing for gun crime.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

Lower taxes to place money in the hands of every Californian, pro-business eco-sensitive industry policies including the film industry to accelerate job growth, and encouragement of parental choice in education with State funding reaching children and teachers' programs.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

I am proud of the evolutionary conversation that Americans have been involved with. I now believe we can go forward as one nation united under security and equal justice for all.
