QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
First, I would like to see a separation between government and public health choice. Personal health and medical choices are often based in belief similar to personal faith. I see a need for protection of personal health choice vs. state control just as there is protection between church/state. With regard to this topic, I believe it is time for finding balance between extreme "right-to-life" and "pro-abortion" views to allow for common-ground. I would like to see all humans receive protection of life and liberty from the law, including those who are still unborn. I believe it is possible for the medical community to determine when a fetus moves from being a potential to a person, and for abortions to be performed after this time only when it is in the interest of the medical-health of either the mother or the baby. Crucial to this request of expecting mothers, however, is financial, social and emotional support to ensure her needs, and the needs of the child, are met.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Agree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Agree
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
We have a $75 Billion surplus. This is obscene given the state of our State. I would reduce sales tax and gas tax by half to bring these costs into line with other states. I will eliminate personal state tax for all individuals earning less than $1 million a year and households earning less than $5 million per year. However, I will not look to cut government spending, but rather to reallocate it better serve the people. I will raise tax on corporate titans and overseas investors.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Strongly Disagree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
I do not see government's role as opening, influencing in any way, or closing, churches unless there is grounds for determining criminal activity were harm to humans, animals, or the environment as a whole has been found to be involved. I honor the separation of church and state as it is set forth in our United States Constitution and feel that this designation is essential for liberty and experiencing ourselves as a free people.
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Religious and spiritual freedoms as guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States of America, the constitutions of the individual states of the union, and the laws of the United States. These freedoms guarantee the right for people to assembly and organize a Private Ministry Association under private law and to conduct all manner of ministry, prayer and worship (and any manner of business so long as it brings no harm to others) within the private domain as seen fit by its members, as long as it remains a Private Ministry and is unincorporated by the state and subject to public law. These freedoms also guarantee that one's beliefs within their own heart, mind and soul provide them with individual choice when it comes to how to education, heal, buy, move, think, do business and in general how they wish to live their lives given their own sense of inner direction and higher calling - so long as their faith and practices do not harm other humans, animals or the Earth.
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Agree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Separate the cultural/social, political and economic spheres of society! Support private medical choice: doctor-directed/patient empowered collaborative medical determination not based in profit/cost. It is clear the cost of healthcare is inflated due to the system of private health insurance. State funds already are a collective insurance as they come from the entire population and then are redistributed towards other's individual or our collective needs. So I advocate the elimination of expensive, inefficient and often corrupt private health insurance systems that overburden businesses in favor of shared-risk/protection that is already inherent in our tax dollars. Second, I would like to see a state-wide board of neutral (not-profit or politically motivated) medical advisors (Western, Eastern and Holistic) to determine state-funded prevention & payout programs. I would like to separate personal medical choice from politics and reinforce the protection of life, liberty and happiness.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Disagree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
No Answer
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
We share this planet. We share this nation. We share this state. We share the responsibility of caring for and stewarding the health and wellbeing of all. Immigration occurs when one is still seeking what feels like home, or when one cannot find a safe place to build their home. We must build our communities based on the understanding that just as others have made their way here before from other countries, so too will more people be drawn to the Golden State and to the United States. I feel there are two ways to improve the quality of life for immigrants and the success of working positively with both migratory workers and with those looking to find their footing in California soil. First, a welcoming plan must be created to give people a way to share their interest and intention in coming to CA. Then, we must have a workable way for them to come and either work and travel back home, or to stay. We can respond humanely to the needs of immigrants/migrants and we must find a way.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality that is necessary for our system of limited government.
No Answer
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Agree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in the human spirit and its capacity for love. I have faith in nature and its capacity for abundance. I see the intrinsic balance within all creation that seeks to bring give us health, harmony and happiness. I see every human as a hero on a personal quest to find one's truest self and individual calling to bring forth gifts for all of humanity and the Earth. I see all spiritual faiths, worldwide, as sharing many universal principles to encourage truth, beauty and goodness in us all.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Moderate
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
“Simplicity, patience, compassion. These three are your greatest treasures. Simple in actions and thoughts, you return to the source of being. Patient with both friends and enemies, you accord with the way things are. Compassionate toward yourself, you reconcile all beings in the world.” This is a quote by Lao Tzu, in the Tao Te Ching. I see very little value in taking an extreme position because it is rarely a path towards peace and happiness. Having a "hard head" gets one no where except a "headache." Far from asking my fellow Californian's to let go their important insights, questions and values, I feel it is possible to find a Yes... And. So that we do not lose ourselves polarity or mediocrity, but rather collaborate to find a common-sense. I have witnessed people with strong feelings on either side of any position lose their capacity for compassion and conversation. I am not interested in this. I seek to enable others to act and galvanize community will-power for positive change.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
It is not enough to have a large portfolio of money, land or investments to govern. Leadership requires the capacity to inspire a shared vision, to enable others to act, to challenge processes, model the way and encourage the heart. I have experience being a leader of individuals & organizations in uncertain environments and I know what it takes to bring people together. I also know what it takes to make something out of nothing and bring love to life.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I am a hometown California girl who grew up in Sacramento on the banks of the American River. I love being in nature. I am a mother of two children. Teryn Strider Scott, age 20. Sierra Rose Scott, age 17. Both are the light of my life and I have joyfully raised them, even while struggling at times, as a single mother. I have a deep and abiding faith in love, in life and in embodying Christ Consciousness. I have found that perseverance and prayer is the key to my success, allowing me to breakthrough my own failings and uncertainties. I have experienced extreme poverty and desperation and also great joy and abundance. I know what it takes to help people who are less-advantaged find inspiration and motivation to reach their goals and become contributing members of our communities. I also know how to help wealthy people find deeper meaning in life. I am dedicated to preserving the sacredness of the family, while at the same time celebrating every unique identity and diversity with love.
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.
Strongly Disagree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I support 2nd Amendment Rights. I envision a process for gun ownership/use that is similar to that of car ownership/use. Proper training in gun safety, handling, shooting, carrying, and storing. Gun licensing/registration as practical for tracking use, conceal/carry permits, and potential criminal activity. I do not believe all military-grade weapons should be available on the open market. We must be able to protect ourselves and those we love, as well as hunt, and at the same time regulate use.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Agree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
California is in a "State of Emergency." The current governor now facing Recall has seen to it that our homeless population has never been greater and our natural resources such as water and forests have never been more scarce and in-danger. Unemployment is rampant, business are closing, local towns are buckling under state-pressure to over build where there are no resources to support more building,5G cell towers blaze along every highway giving off negative EMF radiation and we have all been asked to not breathe, not smile, not work, not see or hold our loved ones when they are not feeling well and not be in community. California faces many challenges but the greatest is clearly a lack of leadership. As Governor of California, I will address the Economy, Education, Environment: Opening Businesses (ending all Covid-mandates), Opening Schools (increasing funding and support), and Opening Public-Safety with greater resources for fire, police, parks, social work, housing, EBT and more.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Diversity is our nation's strength. Diversity is how the natural world bring balance to entire ecosystems. Racism is misguided blame for a life that feels harder than it should be and less than it could be. The way to solve racism is not with more "fight" mentality, but rather by raising the quality of life for disenfranchised and historically disempowered people. As the Governor of California, I will ensure this happens. I feel elevating the importance of cultural arts and providing more funding for the arts and for artists is one of the best ways to increase greater understanding of diversity and cultural meaning. By finding more ways to appreciate and learn about each other's culture, we all become more connected and feel ourself as one race. I look forward to increasing the joy found in living for those now living in economically marginal situations. The security of all of us is found in the feeling of belonging felt in each of us.
