QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
To save the life of the mother.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
The Arkansas State Constitution makes clear that "The right of property is before and higher than any constitutional sanction; and private property shall not be taken, appropriated or damaged for public use without just compensation therefor."
What is your position on the minimum wage?
Raising the minimum wage to unsustainably high levels results in rising prices for groceries, clothing, and other essential items, which hurts families and the economy as a whole. Any financial gain workers may see from the higher wage is wiped out.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
It should only be used as a criteria in the context that public, taxpayer dollars SHOULD NOT and SHOULD NEVER be invested in companies that follow ESG guidelines. All public funds should be divested from companies that incorporate ESG in their principles.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Under NO circumstances does government have the authority to close churches.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
An individual cannot be compelled to violate their religious or moral beliefs.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. Medicare should remain available for retirees who paid into the system their entire working lives. Medicaid should be available to those who cannot work and who have difficulty caring for themselves, such as individuals with physical and developmental disabilities and individuals with mental illnesses.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
An individual cannot be compelled to violate their religious, medical, or philosophical beliefs. Vaccines should not be mandated.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
The Arkansas Legislature has recognized this threat and has taken steps to prevent Chinese ownership of farm land and Chinese ownership of Crypto Currency mining centers in our state.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes, Israel is a trusted ally of the United States. Our nations share many of the same values.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
The border must be closed to stop the flow of potential criminals and terrorists into our nation. This is the number one security issue for our nation at this time.
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Strongly Agree
Education must first and foremost be student centered. Education should be tailored to meet each individual students' specific talents and needs.
VALUES
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
Children are the most precious blessing God has granted to us and we must nurture and protect them.
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Strongly Agree
Parental rights must be protected, upheld, and strengthened when necessary. The government cannot replace the parent.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Under no circumstances should taxpayer funds be used for this purpose.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
Photo I.D. should be required for fair and secure elections. Individuals must show I.D. to enter legal contracts, to purchase firearms, alcohol, tobacco, lottery tickets; to drive, to pick up prescription medications, to withdraw money from the bank, and the list goes on. Why should I.D. also not be required to vote?
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Strongly Disagree
The Founders of our nation created the Electoral College concept for a reason. The Electoral College protects states' rights and ensures each states' interests and representation are balanced. Without this system in place, several very large cities in just a few states would decide the outcome of every presidential election.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Racism in any form is unacceptable, and those who practice it should be minimized and ostracized. Racism divides people. All U.S. citizens should work together in a spirit of unity and peace in an effort to protect American values of individual liberty and personal responsibility.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
This is a divisive concept that only serves to divide people and does nothing to unify people in a spirit of peace. "Blessed are the peacemakers..."
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
It is an insult and an afront to women for biological men to invade their sports and their personal and private spaces. It is offensive and unacceptable that women's rights are being infringed upon by this movement.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. We all want to live in a clean, non-polluted nation. As technology improves, we can reduce pollution and should continue to use reliable energy sources such as oil, natural gas, and coal. So called "green energy" sources are not necessarily as "green" as portrayed, and while they may have their place in the energy grid, they should not be relied upon as a sole source of energy
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Nuclear energy plants and clean-coal fired power plants.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No, I absolutely have not.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No, I absolutely have not.
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
To protect our God given Right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
I am a Christian Constitutional Conservative.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Strongly Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
No further restrictions should be imposed upon our 2nd Amendment Rights, and some aspects of the National Firearms Act should be repealed. Regulating suppressors, regulating the barrel length of rifles and shotguns, and regulating the bore diameter of firearms does nothing to reduce or control crime.
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
Individual school districts should be granted local control to decide if this option is good for their school, with input to the school boards from their constituents/parents of students.
