Although many would argue for a rape and incest clause, I believe abortion is murder. My wife being adopted as a baby and having my own children gives me unique perspective to how life could be very different if we alter God's plan.

I would advocate for zero base budgeting to let those in individual departments make decisions as to what is important. By doing this the departments would be forced to hold the line on spending and through inflation would decrease the overall tax burden.

I would make a push for upfront pricing on procedures so that patients could shop for the best deal. Also I would make moves to have insurance available across state lines to simplify the search and encourage healthy competition.

If you were to google my name, two things pop up. First you will find that I sued the Town of Elba over personal property rights when they tried to put a road through my farm without compensation. I fought this all the way to the Supreme Court of Wisconsin and won. This also proves I will stand up with my own money for things I believe. Second you will find that I requested the removal of a book about transgendered children from the school library in Columbus School District. I was met with scorn and went to several hearings about it. At one they refused to let me speak and at the other, they had written speeches read after I picked apart the reasoning they were using.

I have attended the school of hard knocks for most of my life. I have a wide variety of knowledge from many years of work experience liquidating estates, businesses, farms and selling used vehicles. Living and running our small farm is an education that many do not have a perspective to relate to. I believe many times we place an over emphasis on formal education.

I would like to see legislation to decentralize power so that town boards, city councils, and school boards have more power because they are closer to the voters. I would also like to see an expansion of school choice and programs that link dollars to students so that schools with the best teachers and curriculums succeed. I would also like to see voter integrity laws go into practice that have enough teeth to deter potential fraud.

Racism is only a threat from within. If we teach that we are racist, we will be racist. We should focus on strong cultural back ground that has gotten us to the point we are today. MLK said he dreamed of a day when his children would not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their heart. Why should anyone else be judged if they are of caucasion decent? We are all the same on the inside and have faced our own struggles. We need to recognize that and move on.
