The Founders (as Christians)understood the fallen nature of man. They were also students of history and purposely set ambition against ambition. They acknowledged that natural law is God created, not man created. As such, the Constitution did not grant man rights but limited government's power to infringe upon the rights of the people.

I have numerous individual supporters but I have not asked or received their permission to list them as “endorsements.” I am not aware of any specific group that has publically “endorsed” me.

I am from Gallatin, TN attended Tennessee-Martin where I graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science degree with a major in political science and a minor in English. Upon graduating from UTM, I worked as a legislative liaison for then Gov. Don Sundquist, and successively as liaison for the department of human services and finally the department of health with a focus on TennCare. I entered law school in 1999 at Cumberland School of Law but transferred to Memphis after my first year. I graduated law school from Memphis in 2002. I clerked for Judge Don R. Ash of the 16th Judicial District before entering private practice in 2003. I started out with Rainey Kizer Reviere and Bell, in Jackson TN in their employment law group. I transferred my practice to Spragins, Barnett and Cobb in Jackson TN where I had a general civil practice. In 2007, I opened my own law office in Huntingdon where I have a general practice focused on elder law and estate planning.
17. What charitable, educational, religious, or political organizations have you been affiliated with as a member, contributor, or volunteer?
As stated above, I am a member of the First Baptist Church-Huntingdon and teach a Bible study class. I have contributed to numerous Christian ministries. I was a co-chair for Carroll County for the United Way of West TN. I am the former Chairman of the Carroll County Republican Party. I was a county co-chair for Stephen Fincher and Gov. Bill Haslam as well as volunteered for numerous Republican candidates over the years, such as Marsha Blackburn, Ed Bryant, Bob Corker, Van Hillary, Lamar Alexander, Fred Thompson, Pres. George W. Bush, John McCain and other local Carroll County offices. I was actively involved in numerous organizations while in college at Tennessee-Martin. I am a member of the Tennessee and Carroll County bar associations. I formerly was a member of the Madison County Bar Association.
