QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
It should be rare and safe, if elective (e.g., not recommended by a doctor for the safety of the mother and unborn child and early in the pregnancy) the mother should be consulted by a doctor after seeing a sonogram and allowed if it is still desired. Other circumstances should be in the instance of rape or criminal act where a woman becomes pregnant. It would be cruel and unusual punishment to not allow the victim of a crime to have an abortion and carry the child for 9 months. Also, there may be circumstances (albeit rare) where the health of the mother and child would be at risk if carried to full term. As such, if the doctor recommends terminating the pregnancy the mother should be allowed to have that option.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.
Strongly Agree
Socialism provides a robust foundation for a stable economy.
Strongly Disagree
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
Create an environment that will allow private sector growth. The government is competing with businesses with all the "freebies" it is giving out and taxes are projected to go up. Those don't help businesses grow, and create jobs. They are trying to figure out how to do more with less. We need better economic policy and need to fix our supply chain issues. Two things that I excel at being an economist, business owner, and supply chain expert.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
Government should do less, government is in the business of providing services that help the public such as public roads, public transportation, public utilities, and public safety. If the government spent only what it needed to provide those public services and no more the private sector would have more capital to reinvest in their business and grow. Therefore, we need to ask, "what is the government involved in that it shouldn't?"
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or business owners because of their deeply held religious beliefs.
Strongly Agree
Governments should not penalize those who define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Neutral
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Neutral
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
This is a loaded question, however, I'll say that as someone involved in the pharmaceutical industry we should look at drug prices and consider requiring companies that sell drugs cheaper overseas to give Americans (or Virginian's rather) the same rate because we shouldn't be gouged while other countries receive a discount. With regards to adequate, affordable and accessible healthcare...I'm a Type 1 diabetic and my son is also a Type 1 diabetic and the ability to access healthcare is a grave concern of mine. I'm not prepared to lay out a healthcare plan in this survey but is something that I would like to address as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
I support sanctuary cities.
Strongly Disagree
EDUCATION
Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.
Agree
Any teaching to children on sex education in public schools must include all contraceptive methods, and should not show preference to abstinence.
Agree
People should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on "gender identity."
Strongly Disagree
Free speech is under attack on public university and college campuses.
Strongly Agree
Parents should be the primary authority in decisions affecting their minor children.
Strongly Agree
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Tyrannical rule in England where the power was accumulated by one person caused the founders to define, separate and limit powers in the constitution. The idea was that no single person would be able to accumulate enough power to restrict freedom of the people.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in God, I'm spiritual, however could be a better Christian. I was raised Catholic, when I went through confirmation my Catholic name was Thomas (as in "doubting Thomas") because I struggle at times with my beliefs.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
My background is in Economics and Supply Chain Management. I share the same economic philosophy of Adam Smith, author of the Wealth of Nations. Rational self interests drive the economy, you can't have any self interests if the government sets how much of a product you can make or how much profit you're able to keep and it takes international trade to share goods and resources to grow a business or economy..free trade is good, government overregulation is bad and any country that is run by a socialist or communist is very bad. When it comes to social matters to foreign policy and immigration, foreign policy is simple, I'm a non-interventionist I don't think we should police the world or build another countries economy. Immigration must be controlled, borders must be closed and secured and our system must be restructured to work better than it has in the past. Allowing in refugees and those who can prove they won't depend on social programs should be allowed in but it is a complex issue
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I have my Bachelors of Science in Economics, Masters of Science in Supply Chain Management and over twenty years of working in the private sector, started several businesses had some hits and misses so know what makes business work. I'm also a populist conservative that I think is attractive to the public at large. The fact that I've done the work that I'm looking to fix makes me a good candidate. I'm not a professional politician or another lawyer seeking office.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
Yes, this is a critical election for not just Virginia but the nation. We have the ability to clean house this year with almost all 100 seats being contested. I'm the type of candidate that our founders were looking for when our government was formed. I'm not a politician, just a concerned citizen that can use his knowledge, skills, and expertise to do the job. Currently, the seat is held by a California attorney who worked in the Obama/Biden administration and has his sights set on being a career politician. That doesn't make for a great representative for the 87th District. I'm running to fix the mess we're in because of how far we've strayed from our core values that the Commonwealth was built upon.
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
Islamic law (Sharia) should take precedence over national and state laws where there are Islamic majority communities in the U. S.
Strongly Disagree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support the death penalty.
Agree
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
More restrictive gun control is needed to protect public safety.
Strongly Disagree
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
