Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
The question of abortion in cases of rape, incest and when a mother's life is in danger are the most difficult and sensitive issues to address. The unborn is a human being with intrinsic value and worth. Jeremiah 1:5 states that, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart." In difficult circumstances God has a plan for each and every life.
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
America is at war with a transnational terrorist movement fueled by a radical ideology of hatred, oppression, and murder. The United States government has no higher obligation than to protect the lives and livelihoods of its citizens. The United States must take active and effective measures against our primary terrorist enemies and certain other violent extremist groups that also pose a serious and continuing threat. I support attacking these terrorists and their capacity to operate effectively at home and abroad.
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Our nation is not a theocracy and is built on the right of the individual to worship freely or not. But nonetheless, our nation is founded on religious identity and principles. Our Founders understood there is a God. By acknowledging God and His role in the universe, our Founders were able to ground individual human liberties in the human connection to Him, and in that way secure them from the reaches of government.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
• There is one God in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit • Everything was created by God (including man) • The first man; Adam, along with his wife Eve, sinned and brought sin in the world resulting in separation between God and man • God the Father sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross to redeem man from his fallen state • God the Father resurrected Jesus on the third day after His death to pay the price of sin for everybody • Everyone now has an opportunity to be saved by having faith in the work of Jesus • Man is saved by grace, not by works • Jesus is the head of the church, which is made up of people worldwide who have accepted by faith the saving work of Jesus Christ • Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to lead and guide the church
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
I am: - Pro-Family (Marriage is between one man and one woman) - Pro-Life - Pro-Guns (2nd Amendment) - Pro-Biblical Worldview (Judeo-Christian values) I believe in: - Smaller Government - Less Regulations - Capitalism - Revised Immigration Laws - No ObamaCare (Fix Healthcare) - Strong National Defense - Reduce Government Spending (Balanced Budget)
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Administrative Costs must be lowered! Americans must have affordable healthcare coverage and this can be accomplished by: - Allowing health insurers and exchanges to offer plans across state lines to lower costs through more competition - Shifting away from the fee-for-service model
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
The government will continue to play a major role in economic growth, whether via trade, tax code changes, employment, healthcare, etc. What Americans need are leaders who will use common sense and make decision that improve the lives of Americans. However, most politicians today, make decisions to keep their jobs. We must elect individuals who will place the people first. Vote for someone with your beliefs and your values - Vote for John Cullum to serve you. John understands he works for you, not the other way around!
What changes should be made to the tax code?
Tax reform should be pro-growth, improve U.S. competitiveness, and eliminate double taxation in its many forms. Tax reform should include: - Making the Tax Rates Competitive for Businesses - Repealing the Estate Tax - Reviewing the amount of tax individual's pay, e.g. sales tax, gasoline tax, utility user tax, state tax, federal tax, etc. and determine how to ensure that the tax payer benefits from these taxations.
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
Tax reform plays a major role in creating jobs. Making the tax rates competitive for businesses allows companies to grow and expand thus increasing jobs. At the same time, bring manufacturing back to the U.S. will allow for greater opportunities in the job market. Understand, that private section jobs help alleviate many of the issues America faces today. Common sense, jobs help people be self-sufficient, thus lower the need for entitlement programs. Jobs provide health care. Jobs add to the tax base which in turn greater results in less government borrowing (Deficit). Jobs are key to the success of America!
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
There are several ways to guarantee Social Security Benefits. Lawmakers could: - Slow the growth of initial benefits for higher earners - Adjust the retirement age for growing life expectancy - Adopt a more accurate measure of inflation for cost-of-living adjustments - Raise the payroll tax rate - Increase the amount of income subject to the payroll tax I believe that this will become a major issue in the short term as more and more Americans reach retirement. At the same time, I believe that the process by which Americans pay into social security needs to be revamped, e.g., similar to a 401k savings plan.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I am not a politician - I am a strong believer of Christian values; I believe that it is a Christian duty to be involved in the political arena and be active in civic government. Like our Founding Fathers, serving in government is a civic duty, not a career! I hold a bachelor’s degree in Christian Education from Biola University and a Master’s in Business Administration in Leadership and Management from the University of La Verne. I have over three decades of "real work experience." I have been employed by a major utility for 33 years, have owned my own business and served on several board of directors that serve the local communities.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
Why are voters some impressed when other politicians and political groups endorse a candidate? These are the same people and organizations that continue to disappoint the voters year after year. Washington D.C. is BROKEN, California is BROKEN! Who’s not getting the job done? POLITICIANS! These are same people who endorse other POLTICIANS running for office. Can you really trust them? I say the answer is NO! Vote for someone who truly has your best interest in mind and is not looking to make being your Representative a step stone to their career aspirations. Vote for someone who believes serving in government is a civic duty and will always do what it is best for America! Vote for John Cullum for U.S. House of Representatives.
