Alabama already passed the most restriction abortion ban in the nation that only allows an exception for life of the mother.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

I do not believe an embryo is life until it is implanted in the uterus. You can't put a living thing, e.g. baby, in the freezer without committing a crime, but an embryo does just fine in the freezer.
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

What is your position on the minimum wage?
Market should decide. High minimum wages will be a barrier to entry level workers gaining experience. Some European countries, that the left adore, have lower minimum wage laws than the US.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Yes. They are an important ally in the region (particularly in regard to technology, ideology, and intelligence information), but this question has absolutely nothing to do with State Government. Alabama was one of the first states to recognize the nation of Israel and we have repeatedly expressed our support for Israel.

Question is poorly drafted. Alabama has already outlawed the transition of minors, and I voted for the bill. Balancing act on right to parent and what constitutes abuse. Do not see reason to add a crime of child abuse.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

I support the expansion of gambling in my state.

My constituents want a lottery. While I think a lottery is poor public policy because, in reality, the government is advertising to poor people to buy lottery tickets to fund government. It also takes money out of circulation in the economy, primarily in the retail sector. While I do not support any further expansion of gaming, I will vote for a lottery because my constituents overwhelmingly want it and each state surrounding Alabama has a lottery and we are losing dollars to other states.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

While myriad reasons exist for my response, anecdotally I would note that I have African clients whose children are American citizens. None of their ancestors were slaves in the US. Some Americans of African descent were the descendants of slaves in British, French or Spanish territories. Why would we be responsible for their sins? Also, who is talking about reparations to the descendants of Union soldiers who died fighting to end slavery? No one.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

We banned biological males from women's sports in Alabama during my first term.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Even assuming that the Climate Change propaganda is true and even if we, as a nation, did everything on the left's climate agenda, it would not make a material difference to the earth's temperature or amount of carbon released. Nothing we do will stop China and India from continuing to increase carbon output, but it will cripple our economy and way of life.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Nuclear is the best long term sustainable energy source. Given its time to market, natural gas must be utilized in the meantime.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
To punish crime and rehabilitate those capable of redemption. We are having great success in training lower risk inmates with employment skills and the recidivism rate for those inmates has been very low. We do need to look at getting individuals (who are not sex offenders or convicted of capital crimes) who are in their 70's and 80's on parole and out of the system.
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

While there is only so much we can do at the state level, the threats are enormous.
Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.
