QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

The typical Republican answer is "in the cases of rape, incest, and the life of the mother." I am still contemplating this. That said, it was a Republican majority that passed Medicaid Expansion. I would have voted no to this. I would have also voted no to Del. Kathy Tran's late-term abortion bill.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Agree

Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.

Agree

Socialism provides a robust foundation for a stable economy.

Strongly Disagree

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

I believe we should promote an economy where new, innovative technologies can thrive and jobs are created naturally by businesses. We also need to make our education whole again; teach a man to fish is a better plan than giving him a fish.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Government should have a passive role by minimizing burdensome taxes and eliminating unnecessary regulations.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or business owners because of their deeply held religious beliefs.

Strongly Agree

Governments should not penalize those who define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Agree

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

By voting for free market measures that allow healthcare to be purchased across state lines, for example.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Agree

I support sanctuary cities.

Strongly Disagree

EDUCATION

Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

Agree

Any teaching to children on sex education in public schools must include all contraceptive methods, and should not show preference to abstinence.

Strongly Disagree

People should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on "gender identity."

Disagree

Free speech is under attack on public university and college campuses.

Agree

Parents should be the primary authority in decisions affecting their minor children.

Strongly Agree

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Sin necessitates the need for checks and balances to ensure accountable, limited government. Mankind by nature loves to hold onto power.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a born-again Christian.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

In 2016, I helped expose systemic corruption in the Rockbridge Area Department of Social Services and made a personal—and successful–appeal to the Virginia Social Services Board of Directors to intervene and investigate; something never accomplished before in the State of Virginia. In 2020, I led local and statewide activists who played a significant role in the eventual passage of HB 1301, which established the Office of the Children’s Ombudsman, a position created to investigate complaints against local Departments of Social Services. Holding government accountable is what I do.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I spent 25 years as a Social Service Child Welfare Specialist keeping children safe and families together. This experience allowed me to see first-hand the bureaucratic corruption in government. I retired in 2016, but continued holding my local governments and Department of Social Services accountable.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I believe Public Service means you give more than you get. Our elected representatives have lost the mindset that they need to serve the people. Once elected, I intend to join the Foster Care Caucus and will try to regain the 24th District's seat on the I-81 Commission and Courts of Justice Committee. I also love baseball.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

Islamic law (Sharia) should take precedence over national and state laws where there are Islamic majority communities in the U. S.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support the death penalty.

Neutral

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Neutral

2ND AMENDMENT

More restrictive gun control is needed to protect public safety.

Strongly Disagree

People should be able to vote without photo identification.
