OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Questions which are 100% exclusive to women's health should only ever be legislated or adjudicated by women.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Agree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

Close corporate tax loopholes. Close tax shelters and off-chore schemes for the wealthiest Americans. Institute fair policies regarding investment, stock and property. Provide a common sense and fair system of taxation. Increase the total tax base in the short term based on earnings, ability and enforcement of existing codes.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Military, political salaries and administration budgets, funding, foreign aid, criminal justice, public school transportation, federal university support, federal loans and grants.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

None. This is an inherently unfair and imbalanced proposition.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Disagree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

That religion should never be a part of politics and politics should not appear to govern religion. Govt. should act to simply protect the freedom of all religions to operate without restriction or limitation, but religion should never influence decisions or the people involved in making decisions.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Disagree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Agree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

The problem with healthcare in America is purely political. My election changes how politics functions. This would allow ALL the critical issues which have gone unattended to finally be resolved. There are plenty of reasonable and functional solutions for ALL of America's problems, including healthcare. What stands in our way are not the complications of the problem but simply the political willingness to resolve them once and for all. To solve the healthcare problem, what we must really solve is our broken political system.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Disagree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Provide a working example of a peaceful, loving and honorable culture. Eliminate all real and perceived corruption, iniquity and systemic intolerance within America. Expand this brand of American values into all aspects of foreign policy. Help all nations achieve peace and prosperity through compassion and charity.

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Disagree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Disagree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Refugees and asylum seekers who pass strict security protocols should always have top priority. After that, spouses and children of natural-born, American citizens. After that, close family members of American citizens. After that, spouses and children of naturalized American citizens. I would encourage and support an end to the visa lottery system for immigration. I would also encourage and support an end to the H1-B visa system, although, since the questions states "immigrate", temporary workers wouldn't qualify.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Agree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Neutral

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Agree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

From a young age, I have availed myself to a multitude of religious teachings. Aside from in-depth study of most major religions, I've personally and regularly been involved in Catholic, Unitarian, Jewish, Pentecostal, Baptist, and most recently Buddhist services, traditions, and ceremonies. For example, I've been baptized twice, and was married in a Buddhist Temple in Thailand.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Liberal

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

In terms of publicly available information, I'd have to say that my arrest record speaks for itself. Although I've never committed a crime, I've been arrested at least 50 times and spent time in jail.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

NEVER

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

What people need to understand and remember is that I am a lifelong 5th district resident. Born and raised here. Educated here, worked here. This is where I went through Boy scouts, this is where I attended YMCA camps. This is where I spent my Summers (and Winters) playing sports, meeting people, growing my own business and my life. I am non-partisan, unbiased and incorruptible. In a time when politics as usual clearly doesn't work, we need to try something that has a proven track record of professionalism and success. I will bring compassion and competence back to the leadership of this district and apply my skills to the many issues that we face. Issues of social justice, equality, trust in govt., can't be resolved through legislation. (especially when the legislators are more interested in squabbling and personal publicity...) We need someone who isn't focused on their own personal political gains, and is instead 100% focused on the needs of the community.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

If America is to become a safe society as it pertains to gun violence, there are many things that would need to happen. 1.) All guns and gun ownership would have to be registered and insured. 2.) All ammunition would have to be heavily regulated and taxed. 3.) The "personal use" of military grade weapons would have to be abolished. 4.) Guns and gun owners would have to be subject to fair, reasonable and regular inspection and policy enforcement.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Agree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

No Answer

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1.) Police reform and social justice. 2.) Decriminalization of marijuana use and agriculture. 3.) Congressional oversight and anti-corruption, including campaign finance limitations.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism is a threat to every aspect of American culture. As long as there is injustice, there will be the potential negative reaction to injustice. The only way to eliminate the threat of civil unrest, social strife or domestic security, is to guarantee a peaceful, just and equitable society. This means working to end the perception of racism, and also the systemic inequalities that perpetuate the gap between people. While we cannot eliminate racism, we CAN guarantee the process of justice for all.
