QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

To save the mother's life. In the case of rape. My reasoning is as follows: A child inherits certain characteristics because of genes from the mother and father. When I answer such a question I put myself in the position of my two daughters. If they were raped by an escaped inmate of a mental institution, I would respect the decision of each of my daughters whether or not they wanted an abortion.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.

Agree

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Education and making and providing our nation with its needs within our nation. You won't be able to find a single article of clothing in a Wal-mart that is made in America. God forbid that we ever go to war with China. Give thought to how dependent we are on Chinese goods!

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Answered in Question 31

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Disagree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Disagree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

No Answer

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Agree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Only those that can't afford heath care should receive it from government. Multi millionaires receive free health care from government. No indigent person should be denied health care. We do so many things wrong. Because of this, our nation is going bankrupt. Enormous deficit spending, year after year, administration after administration.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

EDUCATION

Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

Agree

Parents should be the primary authority in decisions affecting their minor children.

Strongly Agree

The LGBTQ+ political agenda poses a threat to First Amendment freedoms of speech, expression and religious exercise.

No Answer

I support expanding protections in employment and accommodations based on sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.

Strongly Agree

If children are given instruction in sex education in public schools, it should not express a preference for abstinence but should be comprehensive, offering discussions on various types of sexual orientations and behaviors plus all types of contraceptives.

No Answer

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Not being an attorney but somewhat a student of history, I would say because of French and Britain history. Not wanting excessive power in the hands of one individual. This is the principle reason for separation of powers in the U.S. Our three branches of government assures this well placed balance.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I was raised to believe in the Ten Commandments as stated in the Old Testament and Hebrew Scriptures. I have done my best to adhere to this throughout my life. I must admit that I depart from strict adherence in the case of 'Thou Shall Not Kill'. The commandment, in my opinion, speaks to not taking the life of your fellow man in the manner of being a murderer. Much of religion is based upon faith. Faith is believing in something that can not be absolutely proven. When I pray, I ask that God hears my prayer. Much of my life I so- to- speak asked God to wave his magic wand and cure the world of all its ills. Not seeing much improvement, I came to believe that we as humans are God's greatest tools to cure our world of its ills, so consequently, I pray that God give me the strength and fortitude to do my very best to achieve this goal while I am on this earth. My running for office is in keeping with this belief. I hope to better mankind to some extent should I become elected.

ABOUT YOU

I voted in these elections:

2012 Primary, 2012 General Election, 2014 Primary, 2014 General Election, 2016 Primary, 2016 General Election, 2018 Primary, 2018 General Election

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Moderate

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I believe God could care less about borders but we as humans want to protect ourselves and those we love. This doesn't mean we should not be compassionate and generous to the less fortunate. I don't like dictators, wherever they are. Our nation has supported dictators for generations. Prime example, the Shah of Iran. He was a dictator with enormous oil reserves. The Shah once said that he was chosen by God to be Shah. The United States is too full of greed. Our problems to this day with Iran immenate from our support of a dictator. We presently support the Saudi Kingdom and dictatorship. Question 29 would label me. I'm too complex to be labeled, just as the problems of the world are diverse and complex. I ask, are you conservative or a liberal when you believe our nation should intercede where there is genocide? I believe we should. Why have power if we are not going to use it for the good of mankind. We should not sell arms to dictators, whether they have oil or not.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I served for nearly 16 years in this position. The utility companies despised me because they didn't control me, so they directed their money to my opponent. I never accepted a single dime of their money. It is so unethical for a utility regulator to accept money from the very same utility interests that they are elected to regulate. I am offering myself to replace a man who takes money from utility interests and is controlled by them. How can the consumer get a fair deal when their representative on the Commission is owned by the utilities?

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

During the entire time that I served on the Public Service Commission I never accepted contributions from utility interests. I voted my conscience and intellect. I gave my entire salary to non profits. I never charged the State of Louisiana any rent for my office for nearly 16 years and I paid the electric bill, not the State.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support the death penalty.

Strongly Agree

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

More restrictive gun control is needed to protect public safety.

Strongly Agree

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Gambling should be limited to existing forms and should not be de-regulated or expanded.
