QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Only if a doctor believes the life of the mother is threatened.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
Reallocate military and public healthcare budgets to fund social security at levels that keep pace with inflation and cost of living. Eventually transition to group investment accounts for all future retirees, with a minimum return all but guaranteed.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Our overseas military has 800 bases. That's a good place to start. Our Congress also costs $147k or higher per person, along with a million dollars a piece for their staff. Plus benefits. There's another good place.
Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?
Never.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
The US Government does not recognize or promote any one religion over others.
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Disagree
I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Privatize it all, with taxpayer money provided only for emergency, life-threatening or chronic diseases. Eliminate public insurance altogether, due to the restrictions on billing that are strangling hospitals. Provide assistance for those who need it, and allow the market to bring the price down by flooding the patient pools with new patients.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
First we have to stop creating new enemies. Imagine being a 16 year old boy in Afghanistan. Americans have been in your country your whole life. You don't know anything about 9/11 or Osama Bin Laden- all you know is that there are Americans in your village and country. Next we have to start using our foreign policy tools (trade, support, etc) to advance the principles of the Constitution- not the principles of partisan politics. Focus on the protection of our country, and stop trying to protect the entire world.
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Immigrants who can improve the country through their current skills- either technical, educational or simply from work ethic. Any immigrant who can prove they will be a NET POSITIVE for the Country should be given a chance to prove it.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Neutral
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Neutral
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I had a religious awakening about 10 years ago and I studied spirituality exhaustively. I have a very personal relationship with God. My actions are how I worship and execute His will, according to the moral compass and values he has blessed me with in my heart. I have attended group worship with many different denominations and I have enjoyed them all. There are very few things in this life that are better than joining with others in worship and community.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
The Constitution lays out a framework designed to protect the liberties of the individual against the tyranny of government power in almost any form. At the Federal level, government responsibility should be limited to oversight, interstate concerns and providing resources to states. I believe in the Liberty of the individual above all else, and the greatness of the American Experiment.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I'm not a politician. I'm a poor kid from a poor part of the state, who joined the Army because of a lack of options for my future. Now 20 years later I've traveled to 22 countries, completed three combat tours, graduated at the top of every leadership course I've ever taken, earned 11 medals including the Bronze Star, completed Bachelor's and Master's Degrees, and taught at the US Army Signal School for two years. And now my mission is to fix my government.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Strongly Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Standardize all current background checks to share information between police and military records. Convicted felons of violent crimes cannot own guns (with a provision for a long-term restoration over time); Create and streamline an appeal process for gun rights removed for mental health reasons.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.
Strongly Disagree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Strongly Agree
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
1) Congressional Behavior Act: all finances for all federally elected officials available online for free to any registered constituent. All elected members of Congress are required to work at the Capitol 40 hours a week, 8-5 daily. The morning in committee, the afternoon in full-chamber debate. Streaming webcams required for all offices and all other locations where Representatives meet with lobbyists or other interest groups. 2) Poverty Restructure Act: Realign the federal tax code to reduce taxes for any business that increases salary and benefits for workers to a corresponding degree. Tax rates of zero are possible if workers are paid enough. 3) Marijuana Legalization: Ban the box. Legalize medicinal and recreational marijuana nationwide, taxed. 100% of all tax money goes to education.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Not now, but it will be soon if we don't start talking about it. This is due to the confrontational and aggressive nature of all our race conversations right now. All Americans need to learn how to sit down with someone, listen and disagree respectfully.
