QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

To protect the health of the mother and before "quickening"

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Agree

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Disagree

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

Seperate

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

C) and any foreign action should only be taken after a legal declaration of war from congress as mandated by the Constitution.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Neutral

Such boycotts should only be made at the personal/private level. As a member of Congress, it is not up to me to decide who private citizens do business with.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Disagree

I would not be surprised if the CCP collapses within the next 2 decades.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Stop bombing and invading Islamic countries and indoctrinating hatred for ourselves around the world. Islamic terrorists never shout "Death to Switzerland", despite Switzerland having a great deal of freedom and prosperity.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Never. Good ideas do not require force. I'd like as many people to avail themselves of safe vaccines as possible and I am very happy about all of the vaccines I have had in my life. I don't want anyone to be forced.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

D), but this can only happen with a great deal of work to free the market in ways to allow a real healthcare industry to arise and take the place of these programs. As of right now, our healthcare industry is far to shackled to provide affordable options for many people and need to be completely reformed.

ECONOMY

Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.

Strongly Disagree

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

I believe that there should be no increase in the national debt. The burden of debt placed on the next generation is unjust and already threatening our economy and the value of our dollar. We must pay our bills as we go along and not unfairly place this burden on a future generation.

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

I have pledged to support H.R. 25, The FAIRtax, a bill already in congress. The FAIRtax is a replacement, not reform. It replaces federal income taxes including personal, estate, gift, capital gains, alternative minimum, Social Security, Medicare, self-employment, and corporate taxes.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Disagree

State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.

Neutral

The Federal government shouldn't be in the business of doling out funds to cities or private entities in the first place.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Pretty much anyone who wants to and doesn't pose any threat, i.e. 99.99% of immigrants.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Disagree

I have draft legislation available to end qualified immunity which has had previous support from both Democrats and Republicans.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Choose not to answer

I think we have lost sight of the original meanings of the words Conservative and Liberal. If we take them at their common current use, conservative just means Republican, and liberal just means Democrat. I am neither. I am a Libertarian, or Classically Liberal as in the liberalism of the Founding Fathers.

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

This can be easily tested by my answers to "The Worlds Smallest Political Quiz", which anyone can take at https://www.theadvocates.org/quiz/

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I will vote NO on every bill that comes before me unless it will decrease the size and power of government or increase your personal freedom.

VALUES

Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Agree

As long as private citizens are always

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

The non-aggression principle (NAP), also called the non-aggression axiom, is a concept in which aggression, defined as initiating or threatening any forceful interference (violating or breaching conduct) against either an individual, their property or against promises (contracts) for which the aggressor is liable and in which the individual is a counterparty, is inherently wrong

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

None that I can think of at this time. That is something that is typically a state level issue.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Our perception of it may be. But I think we have an idea of racism in the United States that does not match the reality. I also think Americans think we are a very racist country and other countries live in racial harmony. I think race relations here are MUCH better than in many countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America that are typically much more homogenized and ethnocentric, there for much crueler to minorities.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Agree

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A
