QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
The imminent threat of death to the mother.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
Abolish all Income and property taxes. Replace with a consumption-based taxes including user fees.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Eliminate the Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Education, Department of Energy. Audit all Entitlement Programs and streamline the application process by eliminating middle management supervisory positions. Enforce regulation regarding Entitlement fraud. Freeze all increases in spending across the board for 3 years and then only allow increases based on audited need, inflation, and population growth. There are no government programs that run at 100% efficiency. Before establishing any new program there must be clear measurable objectives and if those objectives are not met then the program should be eliminated.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Based on the current standard being used to close churches, no circumstances are justified. If a "church" is trying to use the protections afforded to religious freedom under the Constitution of the United States to inhibit the inalienable God given rights of those members then the distinction should be taken head on and protect those that are being suppressed.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
I wish option D was a viable alternative, but in my opinion, this is not an option currently. Restrictions on private insurance carriers need to be eased. Expanding health savings plans need to be expanded, and truth in patient care costs should be standardized. The patient needs to know what it costs for their care so that the patient can shop around for the best option over cost and quality. Health insurance companies are disconnected from the doctor/patient relationship. My legislative objectives would be to limit government's involvement in health care decisions and give the patient ultimate control over their choices.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
none
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
Do the right thing every time. Too often we use political correctness to turn a blind eye to obvious trends. The United States needs to take serious threats as what they are, and not through a lens of demographics and denial. We also want to stop punishing the citizenry by enacting control measures that are meant to stop terrorism, but ultimately are used to curtail freedoms and seize control of our lives.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
There are laws on the books that cover what I believe are reasonable restrictions on immigration and they should be enforced. We should consider extending additional numbers based on the needs of the US and not political concerns.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
My spiritual beliefs can be wrapped up in the Nicene Creed. I believe in a Biblical worldview. The Bible is best manual on how to live a peaceful, fulfilling life. I believe we are set here on earth to prepare our souls for what comes next. We are not here to be Peace Keepers but Peace Makers. The peace that the Gospel has brought to humanity should be heard by everyone. I was made to worship the One who knew me even before I was born. I believe being devout in my spiritual beliefs allows me the freedom that others may not have. My duty is to do the right thing every time and the results of my actions are up to God.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
Limit mail-in voting to need based documented requests with signature verification, without exception. We need to reduce the number of days for early voting. We need to eliminate countywide voting on election day. We need to speed up the legal process for contesting election results or extend the date for verification of the canvass. Voter ID must be strictly enforced. Voter fraud should be a felony. Federal oversight needs to be opposed at all costs. Transparency in counting needs to be enforced by the local Sheriff.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
No. The recent uproar regarding Critical Race Theory is an interesting observation. CRT has been pervasive in our country for decades now. When in conversation the assumption is the US is a racist country, even though by every metric the opposite is true. If the statistical evidence was presented in a non-CRT light, then the reality of racism and its underlying preconceived notions would fade. What I find is, in any discussion about race, the first thing that must be addressed is the premise that we start with. Generally, I have found that the discussion ends before it starts because I won't concede to being a racist in the first place.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Strongly Agree

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
no
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I am a father of 5 and grandfather of 2. Happily married for 25 years. I want good government for my family's future. I chose not to run for public office while raising my family. In 2017 my youngest child left for college and now I believe this would be the best time to take my experience to the legislature and apply the knowledge gained from being self-employed for the last 27 years. Being a Licensed Tax Professional and serving thousands of individuals and small businesses, has allowed me to see first had what government regulations cost the US citizen. My faith guilds every decision I make. Having a Biblical world view is critical to good government. I believe in the least amount of government possible. I will always fight for freedom.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Removing all restrictions to gun ownership by private citizens according to the Second Amendment.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
