OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Only under conditions of the mothers life being of concern.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

I am supporting a Federal Balanced Budget amendment which would include language to protect our Social Security system. Reasonable immigration and the protection of current DACA participants is one way to increase the sources of revenue to solidify a sustainable Social Security system now and for future generations.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Congressional staffs would be my start. I would need to better understand the current budget to offer reductions but I strongly believe there is waste, fraud and abuse in the majority of the current government programs. I would disconnect the Inspector General positions from the agencies they oversee as having them connected is a liability versus and asset in many cases.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

None

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The "separation of church and state" is a misconstrued analysis used to keep all religious aspects out of government. Our Founding Fathers used a strong Christian value system when constructing our government and our Constitution. We need to understand the relationship between religion and government, not sparate it.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Disagree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

The use of private healthcare in conjunction with Medicare and Medicaid plus by promoting policies allowing competition within the healthcare industry.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Through education at all levels throughout the world where we have influence. Through partnerships with countries also under the threat of Islamic terrorism.

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Agree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Current DACA participants should have a reasonable path to citizenship The United States should have a more simplified system for immigration taking into consideration the ability of the immigrant to contribute to our society in financial and cultural ways

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Neutral

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian. I believe I have been saved and through the Grace of God, He has given me a path to eternity after death. I have taken and also guided Bible study classes through a course called The Journey. The classes help us understand our relationship with Christ and better prepare us to live a more Christ like life.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

My platform at www.turley2020.com expresses my values well.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

NO

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I have been in business my entire life. A year or so ago I decided I needed to get invested in our government system as a public servant, not a politician. My ability to work with all types of people in the business world will come with me in the Senate. Today Congress is far to polarized, we need smart and sensible leadership not party politics. My strengths are analysis for problem solving, ability to think through all aspects of issues and a fair minded approach taking into consideration all aspects of issues. My pledge is to serve Delaware with 12 town hall type meeting each year rotating throughout the state listening to our citizens and taking into consideration our internal state issues while serving the country. My brand of politics is PUBLIC SERVICE FIRST.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Strong gun permit request checks should be in place. The 2nd amendment protects our rights to own guns and should be protected.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Neutral

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

Term limits on Congress - 2x6 years for the Senate, 6x2 years for the House Balanced Federal Budget amendment Energy - increasing the use of renewable sources while maintaining current energy supplies in a clean and environmentally friendly way. Support the extension on the Investment Tax Credit for renewables.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

I believe the United State has made great strides in combating racism over the years. We need to remain vigilant and strong in the fight to end racism completely. All men (and women) are created equal.
