QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Under no circumstance.

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

For the extremely limited situations that I would consider abortion necessary to save a mother that may not survive a pregnancy, I believe that if used these drugs should be extensively tested and researched with all findings made public so that any possible interactions can be fitted in to a patients choice on its use.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Neutral

This one is a little tougher to qualify because I think people who are terminally ill and know they are dying and are suffering daily should have a say in how and when they go and also have the right to not have to suffer if they are able to make a logical and informed decision on their own. However, I also see the other side of the coin where this type of procedure can be abused and may be used for situations for other than what and how it was intended.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

Under no circumstance .

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

People should not be required to violate their religious beliefs to accommodate someone else. Instead of trying to push an issue because you think you are somehow entitled to violate someone else's beliefs it is just so much simpler to identify a person or business that has the same belief system as you and ask them to provide that service.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

I think it absolutely of the utmost importance. Israel has been our ally for as long as I can remember. The United States is a God fearing nation and in following the Bible God himself declared Israel his people and specifically stated that he will bless those who bless Israel. Working against God is never in anyone's best interest.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

I think healthcare insurance should be available to every citizen in our country but I also believe that those who wish to have other options for healthcare should have the freedom to make that choice as well. I understand Medicare and Medicaid serve vital roles in our society and I see no reason to advocate for their abolishment.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

I do not have a problem with vaccinations because I think they do serve a purpose. I do have a problem with the government trying to force unproven vaccinations, such as the COVID "vaccine" on anyone including our military members.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What is your position on the minimum wage?

I do not think minimum wage is keeping up with the cost of goods and is causing many low and middle income families to make unnecessary choices between feeding themselves and their families and paying bills. I believe an increase in necessary.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

Yes

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Agree

As a general rule most parents want what is best for their children. I have no issue with them doing that because I have done the same for my children when they were growing up. If a public school is not meeting the parents expected standards they have the right to do what is in the best interest of their child. I do think they should try and work it out with the schools before making such a move but in the end it is the parents decision not the states.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

I think we can carve out some funding from other programs without having to try and take from our police departments. I know there are things we waste money on that can be more well spent on community action programs without risking the safety of those communities by taking from any of our emergency services including our law enforcement.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None. The public that has the ability to carry weapons has the ability to secure their own communities and it happens every single day in this country.

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

Properly trained teachers that have the desire to protect their students from any harm should be afforded that right.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

To do what is in the best interest of the people they serve.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Moderate

VALUES

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.

Agree

I think that parents have the right to make decisions that are in the best interest of the child. I would not give a free ticket to just any decision because parents should also be liable for any decisions they make that are a detriment to their child's health, welfare, or safety.

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

I do not think the best use of taxpayer dollars should be invested in such programs. If you want to make that a part of healthcare that is fine, but it should be something that is added in to a healthcare plan that you pay for yourself.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and that he is the Son of God. I believe that the Bible is God's word in written form and that he provided it to us so that we know and understand the extent of his love for us that though we are sinners, God sent his Son to make restitution for our sins through his torture and sacrifice so that we may enjoy eternal life and have no fear in our mortal lives because of the Hope of the eternal life we will have with him when our time on earth is done.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I think it is silly to think that voting in an election is somehow less important than buying alcohol or tobacco products where you are required to produce an ID to verify who you are for the purposes of obtaining those products. Electing the leaders of our cities, counties, states, and country is more important than either of those mentioned above and requiring ID is a tool to help ensure that those who are voting are indeed citizens with the right to do so.

States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College was put in to place by our founding fathers as a compromise between the vote of congress and the vote of the people. It gives each state a say in the election of the Presidency by listening to the vote of the people in their state. The states are allotted electoral votes by the number of citizens that live in each state so they have sufficient representation for their vote count.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

In my opinion it is. We are at a point in time where we understand that racism of any kind is bad and should not be tolerated. America is the land of the free and to truly be that every walk of people have the right to live their lives without outside sources trying to affect their livelihoods. When people feel like they are not being treated fairly it gives rise to resentment and has the ability to cause many different types of problems that could really be easily avoided.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

Men have zero business in women's sports, restrooms, dressing rooms or the like. We have instituted laws that specifically protect women from this type of behavior.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.

Just to be honest I think that they are all legitimate arguments. We do have environmental laws that cost jobs and hurt the economy. We have some that are worth the cost and some that are not. Some do not help in our energy independence, but I do think we have to look more closely at climate change to ensure that is indeed a problem.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

I think solar is probably going to be our go to energy source for now. That isn't to say that another source will not rise up in the future but solar power is not as hard on our environments or the creatures living in them.
