QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

It should be discouraged. Smart proactive birth control is widely available and should be used to prevent unplanned pregnancy.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Disagree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Did not answer

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Agree

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I support a healthcare system that offers peace of mind, affordability, protection, freedom to choose and control. Individuals and their doctors should have control with patient centered, free market solutions. With increased choice and price transparency insurance premiums will decrease. Keep the safety net of Medicare in place for people who are unable to afford insurance or can not work. Get government out of healthcare and let the free market provide options that meet everyone's needs.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

We need to reduce ineffective programs, redundancies and stop fraud. The upcoming budget needs to focus on the "must haves" and delay or cancel the "nice to haves".

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

People who follow the laws to immigrate and make a commitment to follow US laws. They should prove that the have the resources to support themselves once they are here. In the case of refugees and humanitarian rescue they may not have the resources, so they will need government or social service support while they acclimate to the country and establish themselves.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

No Answer

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

All gun owners should follow the laws on the books to legally obtain and own firearms. They should take required gun use and safety training.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Neutral

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

I will champion legislation to insure safe communities, as a resident of Minneapolis this is my top priority. Governments first job is to insure the safety of its citizens. I will make sure law enforcement is fully funded and that we have the resources we need to keep our communities safe for all residents. I will look at the state budget from top to bottom to identify wasteful and ineffective programs, end fraud and work diligently to close the budget deficit. COVID-19 is having a historical and painful impact on our world, country and state. I will work to insure we have the resources needed to treat this pandemic and are prepared for future outbreaks of disease. I encourage businesses to find safe ways to reopen and get people back to work to bring our economy back to life.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism exists in the U.S. all people need to strive for greater tolerance of differences and work to understand and change the things that are causing racism. The greater threat to domestic security is lawlessness behavior without consequences. This is not a race issue, it is a right and wrong issue.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I believe in the free market system that has lifted billions of people out of poverty. This system spurs innovation, new ideas and encourages free enterprise and the pursuit of the American Dream. I support pro-growth and pro-business policies that help to lift all Americans. Having traveled the world, I believe that America is the greatest country. We are able to practice our chosen religion, we can speak freely, we have a government for the people and by the people and live in liberty. US citizenship is status of great value and in high demand. To remain a sovereign country new citizens must to follow the laws and process required to legally obtain US citizenship. Socially I believe we must help the less fortunate to move beyond bad circumstances and assist them to take steps toward success through mentoring, educating and encouraging all to use their gifts. Treating everyone with respect, care and love will make our country a better place.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have a career in business and years of experience creating a budget and working to stay within it. The House sets the Budget for our state and my business experience will serve me well in this area. I will make decisions based on data not feelings. I am not a career politician; I bring business acumen, common sense and moral fortitude to this role.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

NO

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I am running to provide a conservative Republican voice in the House of Representatives for Minneapolis. The Twin Cities have 18 representatives in the House, all are Democrats. We need another voice in our city.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
