QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Ideally never, it always ends the life of a human person.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
At the state level, I would reduce spending on social services where the government is the primary initiator and provider. I'd like to see the government take on a more supplemental role in social services and the primary providers being neighbor and local charities/churches.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Neutral
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
The State should not interfere with the church's doctrine and practices and the church should not impose it's doctrine and practices on the state. The two should seek to propose their values on one another and work in union to build a moral society where one is given the freedom to choose the good, and have the ability to live by the dictates of their own conscience, so as not to infringe on the same freedom and ability of another.
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Neutral
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Most things are done better by private enterprises, not government run. Competition, not regulation, best drives down prices. But all this needs to be coupled with holistic healthcare, focusing more on the roots, and not just addressing symptoms.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Agree
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
No Answer
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Asylum seekers, people hired for jobs, spouses from other countries, and student who wish to study abroad.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe God is Love, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, that Jesus is Lord, and He instituted One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.. I acknowledge the Bible as the word of God, and is without error in regards to faith and morals. I believe we're called to love God with all we are and all we have, and to selflessly love our neighbor as Christ has loved us. We are our brother's keeper, not to judge, but to walk with and carry each other's burdens so as to fulfill the law of Christ.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
Most things require a slow change, so as to get all on board and to have long lasting positive effects. I believe in many conservative principles including fighting for religious freedom, freedom of speech, all pro-life topics, and personal responsibility.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
Three things: (1) A conversion experience to Christianity in college transformed my worldview, one that was centered on power, pleasure, honors, and wealth, became one centered on God, service to others, and the building of community. (2) I then received a bachelor's degree in philosophy which helped me to seek truth, goodness, and beauty in all things. (3) I spent a large amount of time in developing countries, building relationships, sharing the Gospel, and providing for basic needs and education. These three things have worked together over the years to help me understand the world at large, the need for virtue, the call to dialogue and reconciliation, the plight of the poor, and the role of self-government. All of these areas give me a unique experience to governing.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
Did not answer
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.
Strongly Disagree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Strongly Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
No
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Background checks, due process for the removal of a gun(s) for someone deemed mentally ill. I'm open to discussing a ban on assault weapons, but would like to have some more discussion and education on that before making a definitive statement.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
Housing, Education, and Pro-Life.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Depending how rampant it is. I don't think systemic racism is as big a problem as systemic leftism. Left leaning thought and actions are much more negatively effecting the lives of minorities. We need to better promote marriage and the family as the cornerstone to a healthy society, provide adequate education and job opportunities, and make sure their voices are heard loud and clear when we are missing the mark.
