I am an adoptee, placed for adoption at birth by a young mother. I am pro-life, I believe life begins at conception. I believe every life has rights. I believe every life is a blessing. I personally do not believe there is a valid reason for abortion. However, I can concede two situations that a woman may face that cause me to dig deep within my soul for answers that I can be at peace with.

The impact of the pandemic on the Kansas economy and our businesses has been devastating. The state will be short the revenue to cover our expenses. We need to maintain funding for core services, but we cannot balance the budget by increasing the tax burden. The budget must be thoroughly examined, efficiencies found, and targeted cuts be made.

My family and I are practicing Catholics and our children attend catholic schools. Catholicism is rooted in tradition and promotes loving all, giving all and protecting all. We are humble, we are helpful. We protect the most vulnerable, the poor and the weak. We know we aren’t perfect and strive to be better. We value love and family, we value community and acceptance even with all of our flaws. We are fearful but confident in the Holy Spirit, we believe there are no mistakes and we are created as God intended.

We must support our military and law enforcement. We must also practice what our Declaration of Independence states, that all men (and women) are created equal, they are endowed by their Creator and the right to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

My career as a Realtor and property manager has giving me the opportunity to work with thousands of people from all different demographics, income levels, religious backgrounds, and all stages of life. I've listened to their concerns for nearly 20 years regarding taxes, property values, quality of living, area development, school districts, safety, healthcare etc. I am surrounded by supporters from across party lines because I’m reasonable and fair. My life is about finding solutions and meeting in the middle. I listen to all sides, communicate, and find ways to get things done. I have worked in volatile situations many times over the years in a professional, personal and volunteer setting achieving positive results.

I’m a mother of 3, the daughter-in-law of a former law enforcement officer and a gun owner. Protection and safety are my number one priority, especially in this violate climate. We all want safe and responsible gun ownership and we must tread lightly to not infringe on our Second Amendment rights. I am open to conversations about reasonable and common sense reforms to protect those deemed a threat to themselves or others.

Rasicm is wrong and has no place in our country. As human beings we have a responsibility to promote inclusivity, equal treatment and equal opportunities to everyone. We have made great strides over the last 50 years and we all still have work to do. Riots are a threat to our domestic security, our communities and businesses are suffering. Everyone of us has the right to protest, no one has the right to riot. Peaceful protests, messages and causes are being drowned out by violent groups. We need dialogue, open minds, and positive action from all sides.
