What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
I would be in favor of a change in the tax code for those over 65 to no longer have to pay personal property taxes. Many of our seniors are on fixed incomes and are now struggling to make ends meet due to the increasing inflation.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
At this time I believe education takes up around 65% of the Kanas budget. That needs to be looked at to see how the money is being spent and is it benefiting students and/or teachers.

I feel that "free" college would lower the standards. I would like to see more colleges, universities, and vocational schools implement work programs where students can work on campus or be in an apprentice program to help pay the cost of tuition, book, and room and board.

(includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
I stand somewhere between option B) and option C). It is important to have many viable private healthcare options while also offering government funded healthcare for those most in need.
