QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

It should not be allowed. It is a slippery slope. It is contrary to God's Law.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Funding for Planned Parenthood, other abortion providers, and contraception. Funding for most professional sports facilities. Funding for some of the art endowments.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Our founding fathers did not want the United States to have a leader dictate a "national religion" such as the King of England had decreed. This is how they set forth to prevent that from happening.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Moving forward bills in the legislature supporting healthcare coverage according to the principals and values of the conservative Republican Party.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

No Answer

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

President Trump has put forth a comprehensive path to citizenship and immigration I wholeheartedly agree with.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

No Answer

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell; the third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, sits at the right hand of God, the Father almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

My campaign website: dupreforsenate.org. The Republican platform. Facebook posts.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

- My American public education and citizenship - college degree - 40 years of employment and entrepreneurship - 30 years as an educator - 40 years in volunteer capacities of many kinds - 27 years of home ownership - 45 years of living in Minneapolis metropolitan area in eluding years in my current suburb - I am a current caucus delegate and a precinct chair - I am a patriot and have been a Christian since my high school years

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

Never

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

Electing me for your Senate representative will be a step toward putting the power of our government back in you - the peoples’ hands, as our Founding Fathers had put forth in their wisdom in our great Constitution. Through my service as a State Senator I can be a catalyst and influencer of change in our district, state and even our nation. We are witnessing the dawn of a new future. A better future. A government truly of the people and by the people. I promise to listen; to promote your concerns - to put the time and effort in to effect change. We all agree that new leadership is voted in in order to make change. Those changes are ideally for the betterment of a community - and that does NOT include bigger government or unnecessary new laws. Sometimes, in fact it means getting rid of tired and obsolete laws and policies that suppress prosperity and growth; that tend to repress the natural American inclination leading to a higher standard of living for all citizens.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

No Answer

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Limited background check for felonies and mental illness. Gun safety course and competency test. Age restriction.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

Sanctity of life support - defund abortion providers, laws against euthanasia and organ harvesting, and human trafficking. Support ways to protect children from pornographic visuals online and the LGBTQ agenda. Remove Common Core.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

I don't believe so according to a wide range of conservative people of color who have provided testimony and facts relating to this issue.
