QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Life of the mother.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Planned Parenthood has an extensive history and was originally called The Negro Project. It is in the business of killing babies and supporting sexualization of children, that will only go to the expansion of it business base.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
Washington state tax system is upside down and Covid 19 pandemic only made the wealthy even more so while businesses were suffered devastating losses. The rich get richer and the rest of us get taxed. That business model only creates class divisions and platforms. It's just wrong. The wealthiest pay the least or even nothing at all. As your senator I will work to level the taxing field. I will work to simplify the code so that everyone can understand it and participate in it, equitably.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
I would look at programs that are ineffective or not performing to acceptable levels. I have worked within governmental jobs my entire career and I know and or have seen so many type of governmental waste. I have always felt that we have more "junk" that we buy just to have as a backup or a replacement but then the tech develops so fast that makes the things we have on hold obsolete and it simply goes unused. I would also conduct efficiency audits to identify wasteful programs. Look for things and ways that we could privatize or commercialize and function that can help reduce the governments' size and thus reduce its overall cost to operate.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Neutral
I believe that if education can be separated from the institution of education, we would have affordable schools and or colleges. But as it is now all those institution are more focused on increasing they own retirement plans and alumni programs than in effective learning or efficient ways to teach. There should be a "Agree to Disagree" button.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
As your senator I will fight to uphold the religious standards that a church or group want to practice without the government forcing one religion to violate its own beliefs.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
None! Just like big box stores were open during the pandemic, as your senator, I will fight to keep churches open and operational as they desire. The government can not, should not and under my leadership will not infringe upon the peaceful orderly operation of church or religious gathering.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
B - but their are better plans out there and we should look to see how they are doing so good, i.e. Medishare.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
NONE If we don't support freedom of choice then where will it stop?
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
Not support it.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
No comment.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
Finish building the wall. As your senator I would seek to remove the sanctuary status that Washington State has.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
We should allow anyone desiring to be a part of the American Story to have a fair chance at it but it needs to be done legally. Coming into the country should be allowed via a vetting process and then tracked while here pending the completion of the process. We can have merit and contributional systems that supports a person's ability to being self-sustaining, contributing and law abiding and or have the ability to lose they right to be here due to criminal behavior. Citizenship through service to the military, skills in higher education, science and or research. Willing to learn the language, accept our culture and promise to not try and turn our laws against us.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
As your senator I will introduce legislation that would incentivize good schools and allow parents to take their children out of underperforming schools.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
Regardless of popular rewriting of history and the lack of true and accurate teaching of American History, we are a nation that was built on the values of the Hebrew and Christian Bibles. And I would support and defend that truth against any move to erase or rewrite that fact.
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition
Strongly Agree
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in God the Father, maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus (who is the Christ), his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born to a virgin named Mary, who suffered under Pontius Pilate, was wrongfully accused and crucified, died, and was buried, descended into the Paradise compartment of the underworld, received those that had been awaiting his promise arrival and then rose again from the dead on the third day, ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of El-Shaddai who will come again to judge the quick and the dead.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
The state of Georgia has proven that people can and will support that idea.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
Return to voting day and make available absentee voting for those that need it or want it. I would support legislation to declare voting days a legal holiday, allow for in-person voting. Votes will be counted and a winner declared on the day of the election.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
No. Because racism, is being used to push as an ideology that is designed to create more racism, division instead of teaching the facts of racism, its origins and who uses it to hide their lie and continue to create real hate.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
It's called a income tax return.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
Neither. We should be good stewards of our planet and promote ways to reduce, reuse and recreate so that we don't continue dumping things into our oceans, rivers and streams.
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Strongly Agree
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
Form a perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, secure the blessings of liberty for ourselves and for our posterity.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
There needs to be a Constitutional option.
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
My bank account.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
As your senator I will serve the people of our district, whether you voted for me or not. As a elected official I represent all the people of the district. I have had authority over others for over 30 years. I understand how protecting others is suppose to look and how to use it to protect and serve them as compared to serving my own interest for personal gain. I understand that my authority comes from you and is vested in you. I believe in term limits and I would be a supporter of creating legislation to that effect.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
Just like the military has.
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
How has that worked out for us so far, not so good. Never too late to make a better decision. We can not have one at the cost of the other.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Keeping guns out of the hands of criminals.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue the person who committed the violence.
