QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Never in the third trimester.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Agree
Only as the current WA State law is written.
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
None
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
As far as I know the WA State budget is balanced.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Disagree
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Disagree
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Only if all other businesses are closed.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
C
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Would need a specific circumstance defined to answer this question.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
Not relevant to the office that I am running for.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Neutral
Not relevant to the office that I am running for.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
Not relevant to the office that I am running for.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Not relevant to the office that I am running for.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Agree
We should do what is best for the education of our children.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Agree
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Disagree
Men who identify as a woman and have a penis should not be allowed in a women’s locker room or bathroom.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition
Neutral
No need to change current laws.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Choose not to answer
I do not know enough about CRT to comment on it, CRT means different things to different people. I believe the USA is the best country in the world, that is why people of every race from every part of the world want to come to the USA. If the USA was fundamentally racist, why would people of all races make it the number one country they want to emigrate too? My Egyptian wife of 38 years immigrated to the USA because her father thought it was the best country in the world.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Disagree
In the State of WA nothing more than a utility bill or other documents that do not establish that you are a citizen are required to register to vote by mail. The same proof of citizenship to enter the USA through customs from a foreign country should be required to register to vote.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
Proof of citizenship to register to vote.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Racism is wrong and should not be tolerated, the USA is one of the least racist countries in the world.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Disagree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
Per the World Health Organization the USA is one of the best nations in the world for clean water and air. Our current regulations and laws are good as they are.
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Agree
We need domestic oil and gas until an adequate supply of other sources of energy are available, if we stop producing domestic oil and gas before reasonably priced alternative sources of energy are available prices will skyrocket.
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
Safety, roads, useful regulations.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Lean Conservative
I am a Libertarian, I believe in small government, and people should have the freedom to do what ever they want as long as they do not hurt others or cost other's money.
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
Did not answer
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
no
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
My legislative priorities are: For real safety, crime must be stopped and not allowed to spread. The State must provide facilities where drug-addicted persons who engage in criminal activity, will be detained, and receive mandatory treatment, with the goal of reuniting them free of addiction with family or friends that will house them. Crime: What has gone wrong in Seattle and surrounding cities and the rest of the State of Washington is crime is not being prosecuted or enforced. With complicity from elected officials and the media, the call to reduce funding of the police, while ignoring the impact and damage that it would cause to Seattle and the State of Washington, makes me highly motivated to do something about the problem. What I am seeing now with the claim that “all the police” are racists and with elected officials continuing to beat that same drum, it shows the major disconnect between elected officials and their citizens. We all fundamentally know that 99% of police are very good people who risk their lives daily, who are not racists, and who use proper force on persons who are resisting arrest. We can improve policing by eliminating the few police officers who should not be serving as an officer; however, reducing police funding will result in cataclysmic safety risks for the public. People will have to fend for themselves, and we simply cannot live peacefully this way. We need to enforce laws that we already have, not enforcing existing laws has lead to increased physical crime, property crime, and death of our law enforcement personnel. The Homeless Problem: Fentanyl OD deaths per year went from about 5,000 in 2015 to currently over 70,000. One- and one-half times more people between the ages of 18-49 during the Covid pandemic died from Fentanyl than from Covid. Hard drug use and not enforcing the drug laws is what is driving the homeless problem, would you give a drug addict relative shelter in your house? It is people with compassion but a lack of understanding that are making the problem worse. Buy not prosecuting for possession of hard drugs and allowing shoplifting to buy drugs, creating housing where you can freely use drugs and alcohol, and only offer voluntary treatment (voluntary treatment is like leaving your 3-year-old alone in a room with a bowl of candy and telling him to take only one). Seattle and King County are the perfect example of how this does not work, and the rest of the State of WA is following Seattle’s lead. What needs to be done is enforce the hard drug laws and shoplifting laws. When they are confined, we must force them off drugs, give them treatment, and once they are off drugs try to get family or friends to take them in. You will actually save more lives, reduce the number of homeless, and reduce crime with enforcement, now that is real compassion and caring. The Homeless Solution: Homeless that have not committed crimes: First the State should attempt to find family or friends that would be willing to have them live in their homes, and if required pay for transportation to reunite them. If the first option is not possible provide facilities where they can get temporary housing, where no illegal drugs or alcohol are allowed, where being under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol is not allowed, and if they have an addiction treatment is required and mandatory. Drug addicted Homeless that have committed Crimes: Crime must be stopped and not allowed to spread. The State must provide facilities where drug addicted persons that commit crimes like significant shoplifting, assault, use illegal hard drugs, etc., can be detained, gotten off drugs, given mandatory treatment, and attempt to reunite them with family or friends that will house them. If the person is released early into the care of family or responsible friend and they go back on drugs, at the request of either if there is still time left in their required detention time, they can be taken back to the State facility. Homeless who are a mental loss cause because of drug addiction or for other reasons after treatment has failed that are a danger to themselves or others may have to be housed in an isolated facility for the rest of their lives. It is inhumane to have mentally ill people that cannot be cured wondering around our street.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Agree
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Before we create new gun laws, we need to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law anyone that uses a gun to commit a crime. To often a person commits a crime with a gun does little or no prison time and then a short time later kills someone with a gun, this needs to stop.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
