QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
None.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
I would look at cutting the raises that the state officials just gave themselves, to start. I would then assess the need for the never ending road construction projects across our state, and I would investigate where public spending could be replaced with private sector money.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Neutral
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Separation of church and state means to me that the people are free to worship and exercise their religion as they please, without the control of the government- as paraphrased from Thomas Jefferson.
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
I would promote the free competitive insurance market for insurance companies in order to keep prices low. I would promote the freedom of the people to choose an insurance company that is right and affordable for them.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Persons coming into the U.S. legally, and without a violent criminal history, and with a plan to be financially independent should be allowed to come into the U.S. Persons seeking asylum should do so through the proper channels.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died for our sins. I live by my faith in God, and His faith in me. I believe that through God, all things are possible.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
I believe that in order to have a thriving economy, we must have free markets and individuals who are free to achieve as much as they are capable of. We also must have minimal taxes. I believe that things such as abortion, and gay marriage should be depoliticized and not publicly funded. As stewards of our government, we have a responsibility to fight these things. Regarding Foreign Policy: I believe that American activity abroad should be directly related to the promotion of American economic, security, and cultural interests, and that of the American allies. I am the granddaughter of Native-American Mexican Immigrants who came to the U.S. legally. They worked hard and achieved the American Dream all while working cotton fields. If they can do it, others can as well.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I will hold a master's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with focus in History and Public Policy, this fall. My degree program has taught me about statesmanship and our country's history from the Revolutionary War, to issues of today. I currently serve as a Precinct Committee Officer for the Republican Party and that is where I began my career in politics. I hold a bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies, and a minor in Criminal Justice. That degree program taught me extensively about child development, early childhood education and social and human services issues. I have served within my community as a Child Advocate, and as an Advocate/Case Manager for drug affected mothers and children. I have also served as a Family Advocate for Victims of Domestic Violence. In essence, I have education and experience in the human services realm, and political world that have prepared me well to be a legislator.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No to both.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I am a former single mother, and a survivor of domestic violence. I raised three young children alone for many long, hard years and I understand the hardships of the working class. I know how deeply poverty can cut a person. I also know what it is like to persevere and overcome through faith, and hard work. I am a survivor, turned advocate, and I promise you that I will fight for you and your families as hard as I have fought for my own. I have fought vehemently to repeal the comprehensive sex ed bill and you can see my testimony on my website. I will fight to bring back our state from the ruin that has been created by bad laws, inadequate representation, and government overreach.
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.
Strongly Disagree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Strongly Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I do not support restrictions that are in violation of the second amendment.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Strongly Agree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
1. Repeal the Sex Ed Bill, ESSB 5395 3. Abolish Title Only/Ghost Bills 3.Separate the Department of Early Learning from the Department of Children, Youth and Family Services.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
No, I do not believe that racism is a threat. I believe that there are perceptions of systematic racism that are being perpetuated by a biased, bought and paid for news media, and social media that are causing division and inciting violence.
