OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I believe in the sanctity of human life; therefore, I oppose elective abortion for personal or social convenience.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Due to the economic shut down caused by COVID-19 we will see revenues drastically decline. Reducing some of the planned increases in state spending will have to be a top priority for the legislature. We will need to engage in hiring freezes, have a moratorium on rule making for a period of time and look to all areas of the budget to make reductions. This is a unique time in history. We will all need to be willing to tighten our belts to help get our economy up and running again.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Neither the State or the Federal Government can create a church, pass laws to support one religion or over another. They cannot force you to profess a belief or disbelief in any religion and you cannot be punished for professing your faith

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

We need to allow consumers the option to purchase high deductible and limited coverage policies and allow health insurance providers to compete across state boundaries, creating a competitive market.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Law abiding individuals that attain the proper documentation and are willing to live by the laws of this land should be allowed to immigrate to this country.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Neutral

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe this country was ordained and established by God. He created us all equal and desires that all have the freedom to enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I strive to live my life in a way that exemplifies the two great commandments, love God and love others.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

N/A

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

We have owned a construction business for 30 years. We know the effect polices such as growth management, water rights, workers compensation, B&O and other taxes have on property owners and small businesses. I have felt the burden of being responsible for an employee’s paycheck and know the impact an economic recession will have on business. As a School Board Director, Washington State School Directors Association (WSSDA) Legislative Committee member and WSSDA Small School Advisory Board Chair I have participated in the inner workings of our state government. I have learned how to draft legislation, seek input from key stake holders and closely evaluate the social and fiscal impacts of legislation. I have a deep understanding of K-12 funding, which is 52% of the state budget. I know the inequities and inefficacies deeply imbedded in public education. I will address issues that will bring financial relief and shed light on the social engineering that is occurring in our schools.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

During this time of uncertainty, you can count on me to be a strong, positive, hardworking leader willing to stand for the values of our district. We need a transparent government that is focused on a strong economy not burdensome taxes. We need leaders focused on responsible spending not social engineering. We need to stand up for our rights as parents, property owners and patriots, not sit idly by while we are stripped of our freedoms. I am that leader; I know how to get things done. We need a representative who understands private industry, believes family comes before government, and works to ensure our children have an education that will prepare them for success. It has been said, a politician is a man that cares about the next election; while the statesman thinks of the next generation. I care deeply about the rising generation; together we can change the course in Olympia so our children can do better and be better than we are today.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

No Answer

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

All law-abiding citizens have the right to keep and bear arms. Those that have a felony conviction, have been adjudicated mentally ill, or have been convicted of domestic abuse should be restricted from owning a gun.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

Education, Property Rights, Affordable Health Care

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
