14. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.
Congressional Oversight of IRS, NSA, TSA, Dept. of Justice and Dept. of State, etc. We no longer live in an era in which we can simply send our Representatives to Congress so that they can vote the right way and get rewarded by the voters re-electing them. All of our Representatives need to be diligent in ferreting out and stopping the excesses of the Executive Branch, whether those excesses are violations of our civil liberties, politically-motivated over-regulation, or wasteful spending of OUR tax dollars. In order to have a Constitutionally-limited government, Congress needs to exercise EFFECTIVE oversight. Our Veterans If someone is willing to die to protect our Nation and our Constitution, we should be more than willing to meet our prior commitments to them. Regulatory, Tax and Budget Reform We must stop over-regulation, over-taxation and over-spending. I don't want my generation's legacy to the generations that follow to be massive debt and economic devastation.

17. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a devout Christian of the Roman Catholic Faith. I believe in One Body of Christians of many faiths, and I believe our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ would want Christians to be one body, one spirit in Christ, and that he prayed his church would remain united. He would want us united when our values are under attack. I believe that marriage is a concept of faith that should not be redefined to mean anything other than the union of one man and one woman in a relationship blessed by God. I believe in the sanctity of life, from conception to death. I believe that in order to fulfill God's will, we should strive to live our lives in a Christ-like manner, particularly if we seek public office, so that we may be a Christian role model for others. I believe that one cannot be a Christian role-model if he or she engages in corrupt or unethical behavior while in office or while seeking office. You do not leave your faith at the door of Congress. My family is very important to me.
