QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Never.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
There is a lot of room for abuse in this. If a person really seeks suicide, without being pushed over the edge by someone else, they can do it themselves.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
None.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
Profile, take the war to them, and like Trump said - they should be paying us to have to fight over there.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
Up to them how to handle it. We have our own domestic issues. I'm running for State Rep, not right all the wrongs of the holy land.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
D. One of my children was born in Europe, in a nationalized healthcare system. Two of my children have been born in USA, where we have options. 100% better in USA, where healthcare providers have to compete for your business. You wonder why it can cost $1,000 for an ER visit? It is because hospitals can get the tax payers to cover huge fees, so they don't have to bill like it is for a person not on government aid.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Never.
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
Abolish the IRS. Lower income tax to 10%. Eliminate credits and loopholes, other than expense deductions.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Most of it.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
Teacher's unions have a massive stranglehold on public eduction and have derailed it from its purpose of serving the public, to one which serves the private interests of those employed in the industry. For further public education, like college, it needs to be each pupil pays as they go.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
Illegal aliens have been one of the biggest plagues on our country for decades. I used to say they were the worst problem we had, until unconstitutional shutdowns came along.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Vast majority should be first world immigration so we don't arbitrarily change the makeup of USA. If, domestically, different groups succeed or propagate, that is up to USA, but changing the face and culture of America through third world migration is destroying us.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
100%. Home schoolers and private schools should be getting the same rebate per student that public schools get from the state.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Disagree
I have been a bounty hunter for the last 5.5 years, among other things. No governmental immunity, no backup. Never had anyone hurt during an arrest. Governmental immunity is bullshit. Anything you can be liable for in the private sector you should be liable for in the public sector.
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
I also love the job police do and admire them very much for it. The mental health quack programs out there are no substitute for getting criminals where they belong - jail.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
none.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
Not the firearm manufacturer's fault somebody used their product wrong.
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
Article 1 Section1 of the Michigan Constitution: "All political power is inherent in the people. Government is instituted for their equal benefit, security and protection." When you follow the Constitution, it doesn't require you to think all that much about the general purpose of government - it is the first damn line in the document which establishes government!
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
My track record as Monterey Township Supervisor 2012-2016 includes passage of the Family Preservation Act Resolution, which I helped introduce and pass, which opposed the transgender bathroom policies and sports policies for grades k-12 that the MI board of eduction was considering. I also helped drastically lower Monterey Township's expenses, without cutting any services, in conjunction with improving ethics and transparency, with things like bidding out contracts for township jobs, instead of just handing them to my third cousin, like the last administration did. Check my personal and campaign facebook page.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
no.
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I think it cannot be overstated how badly Michigan's judiciary needs to be reigned in by the legislature. They are a runaway, judicial activist cabal, that doesn't even bother following the law and is totally unaccountible. I don't think lawyers should be serving in the legislature either. While I'm a law school graduate and will probably be practicing law soon, as soon as I introduce and pass that law banning lawyers from the legislature, I will resign. I'll do that last, once I get the other important repeals of things like the Health Department's ability to shut down schools passed.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
The only protected classes for non-discrimination laws there should be are ones that you can't choose - like race, sex, nation of origin, etc.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition
Strongly Agree
We're living in unconstitutional clown-world, where the government thinks it can. It is wrong, and we all know it.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Every race in the world has the greatest advantages they could have anywhere in the world in USA.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian that is always seeking to further my knowledge and understanding of God.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
End mail in voting, but for cause. That is the biggest source of 2020's voter fraud is unlimited mail in balloting.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
No. I work with every race, all the time. Great people of every race. But people are free to think what they want and dislike somebody for whatever reasons they want. That is part of the freedom that is USA. That which makes USA USA is not a domestic security threat. If you can't handle this much freedom, please move elsewhere.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
That was already done 150 years ago. I never owned a slave, and no person alive was ever a slave sanctioned by USA. Neither myself nor anyone in USA owe anyone anything on the basis of race. I'm a relative of General Custer. If the Sioux want to send me some squaws as reparation, that'll be fine, but otherwise I don't think there's any place for reparations in 21st century USA.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
Way too vague. I love nature and the environment and don't like pfas chemicals getting dumped in a river, but fossil fuels have never been more important to freedom.
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Neutral
Fracking has been an issue of concern to me for a long time. Issues with ground water aquifers being depleted, etc. Not good. But natural gas is good, so a balance must be found.
