How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
Social Security is expected to fall to 70% funding by 2030, which effectively means the system cannot pay for all the benefits. Social Security is currently funded through payroll taxes, which may need to be augmented to meet the needs of the rising populations that are receiving social security benefits. Additional taxes may need to be applied.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
All congressional discretionary spending must be under review. The DoD has failed an accounting audit for the last two decades. There are several agencies within the federal government that are wasting funds.
Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?
Bankruptcy laws for student loans need to change before any bails outs. For our health care workers during this pandemic, we should provide a gratitude for their services in the form of a student loan forgiveness. Additionally, when a student does claim bankruptcy, some of the funds from the university or institution's endowment should be divested from markets and returned to the government.

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Many people are requesting a "Medicare for All", single payer system. I think that such a system is a costly mistake. We can get to basic health insurance coverage by providing every citizen a federal health spending account (HSA) worth $5,000 USD, each year. When catastrophic events happen, these funds may not cover the full costs. Therefore I believe the federal government should provide a public option alongside private options in a health care market place. The $5K HSA is used to cover out-of-pocket expenses and health care needs.

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
Stop selling weapons to our "allies" in the Middle East, such as Saudi Arabia. The answer is not more war in the Middle East, wasting more of our resources and expanding our national debt. The answer is to focus our attention on the domestic threats within the United States. The most significant threat right now in the U.S. is due to the enormous inequalities that are leading several communities around our Nation to fight each other. Americans need to come together to fix our institutions at home.

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

I was raised as a Catholic, however, my beliefs fall more under agnosticism. Life, as we know it, is a miracle. Even within our little corner of the universe, our solar system, we are the only planet known to have complex life. As a public servant, my goal is remain unbiased of the religious ideologies and serve the general population, regardless of their personal beliefs. The United States protects the rights of citizens to be free of religious persecution, and to ensure that every citizen has the right to choose their life's path.
