What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
The first amendment of our Constitution guarantees the right of free speech AND the right to religious freedom for all Americans. According to various polls, 89% of Americans profess a belief in God. Hence I will protect their right to acknowledge God through the freedom of speech to express their faith without mandating it upon those who choose otherwise. Let it be also clearly stated for the record; I wholeheartedly respect those who, for whatever reason, do not believe in God. I believe people have a choice of free will and I protect their right to do so. There is plenty of room for all Americans to express their freedom of belief and speech without the need to implement hatred, violence, and blatant disrespect for those with opposing perspectives. Why do I believe in this approach? Because if we are genuinely searching for truth, truth is fully capable to prove itself and can defend itself when given the opportunity for us to listen to it.

While attempting to describe God who is incomprehensibly greater than anything both known and unknown, I am left with a huge lack of accurate and proper words to fully describe Him. Nevertheless, I submit the following; I believe in One God, the God of all gods, the Creator of all things both seen and unseen, known and unknown, discovered and yet to be discovered. I believe He loves all of His creation more than we can ever understand or even comprehend. As a result of God's great love for the world, He sent His Son, Jesus to redeem and save His creation from the curse of sin and death. I believe Jesus fulfilled that mission and is a true Hero of hero’s, King of all kings, Man of men, Shepherd of shepherds, Pastor of pastor’s, Savior of savior’s, Friend of friends, Lord of lords. STOP THE PARTISAN FIGHTING AND START SERVING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AGAIN It’s time to find common ground using common sense. Dean was the only candidate in his last re-election with major endorsements from BOTH political parties including current Democratic Congressman Denny Heck as well as Chairman of the Washington State Republican Party. This type of leadership is very rare and desperately needed in today’s politically divided climate. MENTAL HEALTH & DRUG ADDICTION; We are facing a national crisis in regards to the extremely destructive impacts that substance abuse and mental illness are having on our society and our families. We must implement mandatory drug rehab and the expansion of mental health facilities on a state and federal level. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT Good paying jobs are the foundation of the great American dream and government should implement policies that incentivize innovation and lower taxes to help stimulate private sector jobs and NOT more government dependency.
