I am a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP). For nearly a decade worked for an ENR Top 50 Contractor. Comprehensive understanding of construction contracting, accounting and bottom line focused financial reporting and plan (with hundreds of employees throughout offices in PA, IL, IA and Detroit as well as project site locations throughout the country undertaking major capital expenditure projects as well as self-performed concrete and equipment installations), together with extensive experience coordinating with cross functional departments. Current role for local authority providing water/wastewater services as Construction Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager provides both public and private experience.

At the Constitutional Convention, Ben Franklin stated his belief that public servants should not be paid a salary, for in paying the civil service, our government would not be made of "the wise and the moderate ... the men fittest for the trust" but instead by "the bold and the violent, the men of strong passions ... in their selfish pursuits." Selfish pursuits are exactly what we see today in Lansing and it's time to make a change.

The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Gun ownership increases public safety. Gun safety education should be taught in schools to prevent firearm accidents.

1. Transparency in state spending 2. Transparency and public participation in public procurements 3. Adoption of part-time legislature. MI is one of 4 states with full time paid state legislature according to National Conference of State Legislatures (www.ncsl.org). Other states with full time legislature include NY, CA and PA. It's not too late to save Michigan from the same fate as those failing states. More government is not better government.

I don't believe racism a threat to domestic security in the United States but I do believe racism exists is many forms with some be recognized more than others. No person should be judged by the color of their skin, only by the content of their character.
