QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
It should be left up to the mother and her doctor to determine the best medical choices for her. The government should never get involved in medical decisions.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
The government should not get involved in medical decisions including funding choices.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Agree
This is a personal medical decision. As long as someone is of sound mind, the state should not involve itself.
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
Taxation is theft. In the interim, I would support a simplification of the tax system to a flat tax that would replace all taxes. We should not have to hire thousands of new IRS agents to attack mid to low-income earners.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
If an item does not protect the individual freedom of our citizens, then I would support cutting that spending project. Let localities determine how they spend.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
Education is extremely important to a well-adjusted society. However, government involvement has already caused skyrocketing college costs. Further, we over emphasize college over trade schools at a net loss to our society.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Agree
If an organization is bigoted, we should vote with our feet and money. I support the citizens protesting businesses who choose to act deplorably.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
The state should be able to close down no organizations including churches. It should not be in the business of deciding which organizations are essential to a community.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
D
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Private employers and schools should be able to mandate anything as a requirement for attendance. However, parents should also have the right to decide where their children are educated and take responsibility for those choices. The state should require no vaccinations of any kind regardless of the science that supports vaccines.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
We should remove ourselves from the Middle East. The best way to eradicate threats is through education and minding our own business.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Neutral
This is none of our business and should not impact any decisions I would make at the state level.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Disagree
Immigration is the lifeblood of the US and should be celebrated and encouraged. There is no need to restrict the right to travel between countries.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Any peaceful person should be allowed to immigrate to the US. I support basic background checks for entry into the US. Otherwise, we should move to an open border.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Disagree
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Neutral
The state should never discriminate against anyone for any reason including gender identity. However, we should let the market boot bigoted companies from the general marketplace.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Neutral
This is a poorly written question. I support showcasing an accurate historical depiction of our diverse groups of people. We should recognize how our policies impacted everyone and teach with more empathy. We should be able to look at our history and recognize racism so that we never repeat it.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Neutral
We should ensure equal access to obtain photo identification. While I have no issues requiring a photo ID, the barriers to obtaining one (especially post COVID) are often a significant impediment to voting. Thus, once accessibility is answered, photo IDs should be required.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
1. Remove gerrymandered districts to give more people access to government. 2. Remove restrictive ballot access rules that prevent third parties from having equal access. 3. Allow for drive-through voting to ensure the process is fast to allow for more voting access.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
The hatred that stems from racism is a threat to domestic security in the US. People who view the world through the lens of hatred and racism need education more than violence and police.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
The state does not need to be involved in environmental laws. The most polluted locations in the US are government-run sites.
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Agree
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Moderate
Fiscally Conservative, Socially Liberal

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
My goal is to let people live their lives as freely as possible with as little government intrusion as possible.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Disagree
End Qualified Immunity
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Agree
I would support redirecting those funds back to the people first.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
None. The Constitution speaks clearly on this issue.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
