QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Only if the life of the infant or the mother is in danger. An example would be if the infant had failed to develop body parts or organs, or a circumstance existed where the infant would not survive outside the womb.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
I'd reduce state bureaucratic red tape, which would interpret to reducing the state employee workforce. I would "trim the fat." I would reduce funding for higher education, because most colleges and universities charge tuition and have become for-profit institutions. Frankly, they don't need the money. Our tax dollars are going to colleges like OU, and all we get is football players and liberal indoctrination.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
I believe it's a lie. Nothing more. See responses above.
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
I would like to see all employers offer healthcare packages to their employees at all pay levels. I wouldn't mandate it, but I would promote it. I would take away the ability of insurance companies to deny coverage for any reason, because I believe if you pay for a product or service, you have a righto its benefits. If an insurance company does deny coverage, they should be required to refund any and all money they have received from the individual. If a person is physically able to work, they should be able to afford healthcare. Healthcare isn't a right, nor should be a government handout. If it comes from the government, it should come with conditions.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Only people who are willing to work, become contributing members of society, and are not convicted criminals should be allowed into the US. If they are only coming to be a burden on taxpayers, then they don't deserve to be here and who ever sponsored their arrival should face criminal charges.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe God created the universe, man was created in the image of God, and that we are his children. I believe the concept of self-governance is Biblical and that America was founded on Judeo-Christian beliefs. I believe God wanted us to be self-sufficient and not dependent on government for our needs, and that we should have to work for what we have. Now, having said that, I also believe that freedom and liberty should be universally applied. It is not the government's nor a politician's place to beat their religious views over someone else's head. I believe--and I know plenty of examples--that a person can believe in limited government and conservative, family values and be a Muslim, Catholic, or even Atheist. I believe the Constitution protects not only the freedom of religion, but also the freedom to practice no religion. I will not use my office as a pulpit, instead I will use it to promote life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness the way our founders intended.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
I have made no attempt to hide my ideological views, my social media pages have always shown criticism of the government, regardless of who is in office. I believe that there is no such thing as "Separation of Church and State" because there is NO federal document establishing such. I believe Thomas Jefferson in his letter to the Danbury Church when he stated that a "wall of separation should exist between the church and state" meant that the state should never meddle in the affairs of the church, but that statement has been twisted by many atheists and Democrats into the false idea of Separation of Church and State where the government should have no influence from religion at all.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I graduated college at the age of 41 with a degree in Political Science and a minor in history. I graduated with a 3.4 GPA, which is a challenge for someone who graduated high school in 1991. I have never held public office, never ran for public office, but I am fed up with local politics where everyone is just a parrot for someone else. I have worked blue collar jobs my entire life, and I earned what I have the hard way, through blood, sweat and tears. I own a towing and auto repair business, have worked as an automotive technician for most of my adult life. My parents taught me the value of hard work.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I believe Oklahomans are tired of the good ol' boy politics. I believe taxpayers are tired of seeing their money being wasted. I also believe that a 24-year-old former city employee has no real leadership experience and has zero knowledge of what his constituents are concerned about. I think the people of Lawton are tired of sending representatives to the capital, and electing mayors and city councilmembers who care more about Fort Sill then they do about Lawton; focusing more on a segment of the population who doesn't bother to vote in local elections and ignoring the will of taxpaying voters. I believe people want a representative with a real spine, who will stand against the big banks, the unions, and the activists who trample on the rights of individuals. I am that leader. I will not sugar-coat anything, I will not give answers that have been sanitized, so don't ask me a question if you're not prepared for the answer.
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.
Strongly Disagree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Strongly Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
None. I believe the 2nd Amendment is absolute, with no "training requirement" like my opponent likes to believe. Felons should not be allowed to own or operate a firearm, and a person should have the right to expect safety in their own home or vehicle, or when they are out in public. I believe people should be able to defend themselves from threats to life AND property without fear of prosecution from a police officer or prosecutor who believe the law is what they say it is.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Agree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
Public safety on Oklahoma roadways is my top priority. I believe if a vehicle is operated on public roads, proper registration and insurance should be required and police should be required to enforce it. I believe Virginia's approach to compulsory insurance works best, where drivers who do not have insurance are fined $400 each offense, unless they can prove they had insurance AT THE TIME OF THE TRAFFIC STOP. I would also bring back state safety inspections, to ensure vehicles are safe enough to be operated. I would also support increased funding for the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, not only for more troopers but also better vehicles and equipment. I would support legislation that allowed city police departments to apply for grants for the same purpose. Secondly, bring back tough prisons and mandatory sentencing Third, tougher sentences for drug offenses
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
I don't see skin color when it comes to domestic security. I see a person's actions as a definition of their character. I don't buy into the "systemic racism" or institutional racism that people like to use as an excuse. We are all responsible for our own actions, no matter what our skin color is.
