QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
None. The baby is a life that God has ordained.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
Through the passage of the FAIRtax, H.R. 25.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
I would not reduce it I would cut out all spending to any liberal organization like Planned Parenthood. I have also signed the Balance Budget Amendment Pledge to support legislation that would require Congress to have a balanced budget every year.
Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?
None, really. The only possible circumstance that I see is military or public service like Police, EMT, Firefighter.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
That the state should not influence the church, but the church should influence the state. This is the original intent of the authors of the Constitution and the rest of our Founding Fathers. Liberals have over the years tried to turn this into something that it is not (and for the most part have). First, it is not in the Constitution as so many try and say that it is nor is it implied. Second, This statement came from a letter that Thomas Jefferson wrote to a Baptist Association when they asked him to send the army in to settle a church dispute. I hold the view that we should have Godly men and women in office to write pro-God, pro-people, pro-life legislation that honors God and respects people.
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Fully Repeal and Replace the Affordable Care Act (ACA), aka Obamacare. I would promote the interstate sale of insurance like that of car insurance. I would also promote Health Savings Accounts (HSA), Flex Spending Accounts (FSA), and Concierge Medicine. IF had to provide a government option, we would model it after TENNCare as it is the best option to model after.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
Support Christian liberty to flourish and move throughout the world. We need not to take a Crusader stance, but support Christians responses and attitudes that show that. This does not mean to have a strong military to have strength when needed but we should not run off and fight on every place in the world. We should seriously pick our battles. I support the Presidents efforts to fight where and when needed, but not retaliate for every little thing but only when attacked. Some of the ideas from Islamic terrorists is that the United States are the aggressor, so we need to show that we are not the aggressor but we will not back down from a fight to support our interest and allies.
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Only those that will add value to our society. This is the best and brightest from other countries. I would make a small allowance for some seeking asylum but it would truly have to be provable and only women and children under the age of 10.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian. I am one that takes the Bible seriously and stands upon what God says. We need to return to that and send more Godly men and women to Congress to support Religious Freedom. I am a Seminary student as I have felt called to ministry in some form or fashion. I have a degree from Johnson University in Knoxville, TN and my Seminary degree is being completed at Global Awakening Theological Seminary. I have a diverse background from Baptist to Pentecostal to Reformed. I have been a part of most of the denominational camps at one point in my life. My belief in Jesus shapes my entire worldview and outlook on life. I am Pro-life because I was adopted (physically and spiritually) and I believe that God is the author of life therefore it has value from the beginning. I believe that we are a Christian nation with a Christian Constitution as John Adams said. We have to refocus on God and live humbly and righteous for Him to continue to bless us.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
I am a member of the Republican Party. I am also a member of the TEA Party Patriots. Through FEC record of supporting Republican candidates (not because they were the most conservative, but because I am happy to vote and vote for the party that still recognize God.)
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No, I have not.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I am a strong Christian that is called to serve and love people. I want to represent the great people of this great district. I have done everything that I can to separate myself from the career politicians that want to enrich themselves. I am the first candidate in the district that has signed pledges for things like the FAIRtax H.R. 25, Term Limits, Regelation Freedom Amendment, Balanced Budget Amendment, and Freedomworks Agenda because I truly believe they can help America grow and stay great. These are to help guide me and hold me accountable. I am the only candidate that will truly support our President. I am the best candidate because I put God first, People second, and myself last. Always have, Always will. In August, do not vote for the status quo. We have to stop the nonsense. Remember, Socialism is the Kudzu of American Culture. God Bless you all. God bless Tennessee. God bless America.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Strongly Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
For the government to enforce the laws that we have. More regulations and restrictions will not make us safer. We have one of the lowest gun violence rates in the world because we allow people to own them. More deaths are caused by knives, baseball bats, and cars than guns every year, but no one is calling to ban those weapons (according to DOJ statistics).
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.
Strongly Disagree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Strongly Disagree
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
I would author or sponsor Term Limits, the FAIRtax H.R. 25, and repeal of Roe v Wade.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
It can be when weaponized by the Media. However, we do not have a racism problem as much as it is perceived. Recently, Will Smith stated, "Racism isn't getting worse, it's getting filmed." I would agree with that 100%. We have to take everything in context and not look at a 3-second clip and go that is racist. We need to look at the entire story and see if it was or was not before jumping to conclusions. A perfect story from the Bible comes to mind. The woman that was "caught" in adultery was brought before Jesus. Jesus doesn't condemn her because He knew that was a snapshot of what was going on. He stepped back to reveal the picture. We need to step back and go it is not my place judge that this is racism without full realization of the event. Christ calls us not to judge, mainly because we do not have all the information like He does to make a proper judgment. We need to pray that God reveals the motive behind a situation that may look racist or another fill-in-the-blank scenario.
