QUESTIONNAIRE*
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I believe that once conception occurs a life has been created and there is no moral case that justifies its termination. The right thing to do is carry the baby to delivery and then put it up for adoption if not wanted by the parents. As a legislator, I am willing to live with less-strict laws that allow early termination for physical safety of the mother, rape, incest, and morning-after abortifacients, but in no case should a fetus be destroyed after a heartbeat can be heard.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
I would charter the best minds to create a proposal that revises Social Security by 2025 so that it is sustainable and for citizens-only, grandfathering anyone under the current system that has been paying in but putting all other new entrants into the new plan.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
I would start with a ten percent across-the-board reduction from a previous base year, with no exceptions for any department or agency. I would close down the Department of Education because it is not a federal function. I would cut programs that do not provide direct services to citizens, and cut governmental subsidies that are no longer relevant. I would get government out of charitable areas and let not-for-profits and NGOs pick up the slack so they don't have to compete with government.
Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?
If you took a loan and promised to pay it back, pay it back. We should not punish others that kept their promise and acted responsibly. I do support federal agencies using loan forgiveness as a recruiting tool, however, to get quality workers into the federal government.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
It was a term used by Thomas Jefferson in a private letter to the Danbury Baptists in the early 1800s that he characterized as a guarantee that the U.S. government did not have the authority to establish an officially-legislated Christian denomination in America (e.g, similar to the Church of England). It does not appear in the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution. The Supreme Court has misapplied this term as a means of removing religion from the public square and actually limiting the free exercise of religion in America.
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Disagree
I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Retain Medicare for the elderly in its current form, retain Medicaid for the poor in its current form, encourage free-market competitive healthcare for people to buy, and offer health savings accounts and employer health plans as we have had in the past. The government should not provide free health care to all, as it is not affordable, is not authorized by the constitution, and promotes socialist control by big government.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
Do not allow our Constitutional Republic to become subservient to Sharia law (systems are incompatible), we should enforce borders, enforce immigration laws and visas, and use diplomacy tools to protect U.S. interests. Continue to export fossil fuels to decrease world reliance on terrorist petrodollars. We should continue to set a good example for Islamic nations to follow democratic republic forms of government. Leave Afghanistan immediately.
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Agree
Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
This legislation already exists and just needs to be enforced. We should be bringing in talented individuals from all parts of the world that we need and that will not be a drain on the economy where we have to provide assistance. The numbers should be limited.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Bible-believing Christian that believes that the Bible is the inerrant word of God, that the God of the Bible created the universe (intelligent design), that the chronology and historical events of the Bible are accurate (including the flood and the virgin birth of Jesus Christ and the miracles, including the resurrection of Jesus), that Jesus Christ lived on earth and is the son of God and is the only means to salvation, and that there is a heaven and a hell. The two greatest commandments are to love God and to love others, summarizing the 10 commandments given to Moses. Other constituents do not believe as I do so I want to ensure that their citizen rights are upheld and they are fairly represented in Congress.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
1) I have a solid resume and tools to make a great Congressman for Hampton Roads. 2) I care about my constituents. 3) I support President Trump's vision of American greatness. 4) I believe I am the best candidate.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
No more restrictions are needed, because we already have enough legislation, and some of that legislation should be repealed because it is in conflict with the 2nd Amendment. Every time we legislate for stricter gun control we make America less safe and give criminals a further advantage.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.
Strongly Disagree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Disagree
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
1) Balanced Budget Amendment 2) Official Total Repeal of the Affordable Care Act 3) National Right-to-Carry Firearms Legislation
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Racism is a tool being used to manipulate people. I don't think very many people are racist and I believe whites and blacks respect each other and want to get along. All of my my black friends seem to share this opinion. Classical Marxism (pitting proletariat against the bourgeoisie) failed in America, so the new strategy towards the end-game is using cultural Marxism (race, gender, identity politics) to cause division, institute socialism, and move to global communism. Global communism is the real threat, racism is a tool.
