QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Life begins at conception. Abortions should be illegal in Missouri except in cases of a medical emergency when a delay will create a serious risk of substantial and irreversible physical impairment of a major bodily function for the life of the mother. I support RsMO 188.017
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What is your position on the minimum wage?
A free market with little government regulation of minimum wages is best for a strong economy. Businesses and employees should agree to wages based on local, state, and national labor markets, not based on government mandates.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
government should never close any church for any reason.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
able bodied people who can work and generate income should fund their own healthcare. government funded healthcare should be limited to disabled or elderly who cannot afford to fund their own healthcare due to limited income. medicaid and medicare should remain available but eliminate fraud waste and abuse to ensure efficient use of taxpayer funds for healthcare. there needs to be private healthcare to remain competitive and keep costs low. a government monopoly of healthcare is bad for patients
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
no mandate of required vaccines should be allowed in America.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
yes because Israel is an ally and democracy against our enemies like Iran, North Korea, Russia, and China. Israel has support from USA to fight terrorism. USA and Israel both value conservative freedoms.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Strongly Agree
VALUES
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
permanent laws are better than sunset temporary laws. Currently Missouri has a 4 year expiration on protecting children. 988 phone resources, mental health care, suicide prevention all need to be part of the discussion and legislation to protect children in Missouri. Shame on the Missouri Speaker of the house for not recognizing be to speak on these important mental health needs for Missouri youth.
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Strongly Agree
government should not interfere with parent child relationship.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
funds should be available for mental healthcare not gender transition services.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Neutral
Marriage is God-ordained, also government has defined legal marital rights such as tax benefits, property, and custody of children. There are over 20,000 same sex Missourians who are married and have rights as married people. US Congress, the US Supreme Court, and many governments have adopted definition of marriage for equal legal rights of persons to respect marriage for everyone. Persons under 18 years of age should not marry.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a member of Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. I was baptized at St Andrews Lutheran Church in University City, MO in April 1983. I attend LCMS K-8 school at Hope Lutheran Church in St Ann, MO until 1997. I was confirmed at Hope Lutheran Church in St Ann Missouri in May 1997. I take communion regularly at Our Savior Lutheran Church where all of my family attends in St Charles, MO. I am a 6th generation Lutheran Missourian immigrated from Germany in 1820s due to religious persecution against Lutherans. I believe in Jesus Christ and confess He is my Lord and Savior.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Strongly Disagree
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
yes racism causes violence and hate and distrust and should be ended by sharing love and respect and compassion for each other.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
there are two genders, man and woman. laws to enforce these beliefs should be permanent and not temporary laws as these facts will never change. Woman have rights to privacy and competition among peers not to be infringed by men.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
A-Drill baby drill
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Every available energy source with no limits should be allowed to reduce costs of energy while increasing supply. I support nuclear, coal, oil, wind, solar, hydro, batteries, thermal, and every possible energy source to have a large supply available.
