QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I am 100% Pro-Life. I believe that life begins at conception and should be protected Constitutionally. If the life in the womb is viable, he or she should be allowed to be born to experience life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Only (and in extremely rare circumstances) when the mother is threatened with death as a result of birth, and ONLY if the baby is 100% not viable (is going to pass away regardless of medical procedures) can the family make the decision to save the life of the mother. Again, this is in cases where a baby has a 100% chance of NOT living. I find this to be a RARE circumstance and one that, as technology advances, we can avoid in the future.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

I would reduce dependence on government welfare and make cuts to department discretionary spending budgets.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The state has no right to interfere in the practice of religion or matter of faith. The state will not set up a "state sponsored church."

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I believe that we should allow insurance to be sold across state lines. This will increase competition in the marketplace and decrease prices. I believe that government needs to stay out of the insurance business as much as possible, because when they touch something they have the tendency to complicate the process rather than simplify it.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Only those who are immigrating legally and desire to become U.S. citizens and follow our laws should be allowed to immigrate to the United States. We are a melting pot and the "Shining City on a Hill" for those who desire freedom and opportunity, but only for those who come here legally.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Bible believing Christian. I was born again by the Spirit of God in 1988. Jesus is my Savior and Lord. God's Word is my standard. I am not running for "Pastor-In-Chief," but my Christian values shape my worldview and will play a factor in my decisions as state representative.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

My wife and I named our daughter Reagan in honor of President Ronald Reagan. I was President of the Southwest Missouri State University College Republicans from 1989-90. I would also encourage individuals to visit my Facebook page and website to view my Conservative stances.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have a degree in Communications/Public Relations, allowing me to express thoughts and opinions in a clear and concise manner. I am a former business owner (14 years), have led men in the Army, and pastor a church. I am a Constitutional Conservative and believe in the greatness of America. We need less "ladder climbers" in office and more individuals who represent "We the people."

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I will always vote my Biblical values and represent the people of my district forthrightly and with respect to their concerns. Whether I agree or disagree with someone, I want them to bring their concerns to me and know that I will thoughtfully consider what they have to say. As state representative I am there to represent the district, not myself, and my decisions will be made with the needs of the district in mind.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

The 2nd Amendment is clear that the rights "shall not be infringed." I am against stricter gun laws. An armed society is a polite society.

iVoterGuide Notes:

Candidate reported that they were rated AQ by the NRA.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

A strong Right to Life Bill, enhanced educational opportunities for Missouri students, working to get rid of burdensome red tape that hurts Missouri small businesses.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Yes, it divides rather than unites.
