QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I am 100% Pro-Life and will always protect and defend innocent life. I believe in the sanctity of life, and I also believe that life begins at conception. I do NOT support abortions in the case of rape or incest; however, I do support abortions in the case of life-threatening issues to the mother. I do support a Six-Week Ban on Abortions because a heartbeat is not normally detected until six weeks and before the female even knows that she is pregnant.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Social Programs are out of control and need to be curtailed. Other funds are used for government agencies, such as the Department of Education and others, which have the sole purpose of dictating how local schools and governments are allowed to operate. Additionally, our Foreign Aid Program is wasting billions of dollars by giving cash money to foreign governments, most of whom actually hate us.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
To me,"'separation of church and state" means that our governments, whether local, state, and Federal, do not have a right to dictate to the citizens "how, what, when, where, and why" to worship
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
A lack of access to quality, affordable health care isn’t just a problem in developing countries or countries with a high poverty rate, it’s even a problem in the United States. This inadequate health insurance coverage is one of the largest barriers to health care access and the unequal distribution of coverage contributes to disparities in health. I have personally seen instances where out-of-pocket medical care costs led to my parents delaying or forgoing needed care (such as doctor visits, dental care, and medications). I admit that I do not have the answers to the issues, but I want to help find a way to help solve this problem..
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
I believe that our immigration laws were adequate until several years ago when liberal lawmakers, judges, and members of the Executive Branch started getting actively involved by admitting all immigrants regardless of their legal status. These unlimited illegal immigrants caused numerous problems and burdens on the local, state, and Federal governments. I am familiar with the United States Immigration Process because my wife was formerly a foreign national from the Philippines. Although we were married in the Republic of the Philippines, we were required to complete a lengthy and expensive process to acquire a legal Immigrant Visa from the U. S. Department of State. Then, she followed another lengthy and expensive process to become a Naturalized U.S. citizen. I believe that the U.S. needs and welcomes immigrants from all over the world if they follow our immigration laws and contribute to our way of life.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christain. I was brought up in a Methodist Church and later in Baptist Churches. I was baptized at 13 years of age. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that he died for our sins. Of course, I cannot prove this, however, I believe it and have faith in the words of the Scriptures. I believe that my parents and grandparents are in Heaven and watching over me. Most assuredly, I truly believe that I will be joining them someday in the future. I know that I am not perfect and have made many mistakes in my life, none of which I am proud of; however, I know that as long as I have confessed my sins, I will be forgiven and still be able to enter Heaven.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
My Facebook Campaign Page: https://www.facebook.com/KimbrowforMO My campaign website: https://www.larrykimbrow.com Both are publicly available and contain all information applicable to my campaign and my beliefs.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I completed 28 years of combined enlisted and officer service with the United States Navy and retired as a Lieutenant Commander. During my career, I led various units of 60-500 personnel and administered annual budgets of over $50 million. I also served in the Vietnam War and the Persian Gulf War and visited over 40 countries during my military service. In my civilian career, I served as Executive Vice President and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Three Rivers College. My primary duties and responsibilities included managing the day-to-day operations of the college (160 full-time and 250 part-time employees; coordinating the activities and efforts of three vice presidents. I was also responsible for all academic activities for the college (credit and non-credit courses on the main campus, five off-campus centers, and over 30 other locations/sites in over nine different counties in southeast Missouri.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
NO
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
In all of my daily activities in both my public and private lives, I still conduct myself by the Navy’s Core Values of “Honor, Courage, and Commitment.” These core values served me well during periods of high stress and danger during my military career and I find that they are as applicable, today as well, in the civilian world. My leadership style and daily actions are based upon these core values. My military decorations and awards include the following: Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (Gold Star in lieu of 2nd award), Good Conduct Medal (Bronze Stars in lieu of 2nd and 3rd awards), and numerous campaign, unit, and service awards. I was also designated as an Enlisted Air Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Aircrewman, and an Aerospace Maintenance Duty Officer I also held a “Secret Clearance” from the United States Government.
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.
Strongly Disagree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Strongly Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
We do NOT need any additional restrictions. As the saying goes: “If guns are outlawed; only outlaws will have guns.” Unfortunately, cities such as Chicago are a perfect example of this. Illinois and especially Chicago, have some of the most stringent restrictions on gun ownership and possession in the United States; yet, Chicago keeps setting new record “highs” for gun violence, which involve injuries and deaths, almost every weekend.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Neutral
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
1. Uphold and support for district's conservative, family values against liberal overreach, especially in the areas of the Right to Life and the Right to Bear Arms. 2. Our economy depends upon educated and trained employees to be competitive in our global economy. To retain and recruit more companies with high-paying and high-demand occupations, we must be willing to invest in the necessary education and training opportunities and infrastructure for our current and future workforce. 3. Veterans and elderly issues are near and dear to me. I will ensure that these Missouri populations have easy access to the resources they need and have earned.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
I do NOT believe that there is systemic racial bias in the United States; nor in local, state, or federal law enforcement agencies. Of course, I believe there are racist law enforcement officers, but in a smaller proportion compared to the general population. Our domestic security is being threatened by individuals, groups, and organizations dedicated to destroying our God-given freedoms and Constitutional Rights. I believe they are just using the high-profile incident as an opportunity to incite the populace. The peaceful anti-racism protests, which are allowed and protected by our 1st Amendment Rights, are being hijacked by numerous groups in the name of racism, to perform personal violence, burning, and wide-scale looting in order to fundamentally transform our government and way of life.
