QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I have heard people say it should be allowed when a doctor indicates it would save the life of the mother. I have heard doctors rebut that such events never happen. I want to leave a narrow spectrum for medical doctors to suggest a course of action based on their expertise in a field that I am not an expert. But we should be wary that any such loophole could be exploited for convenience, not medical need.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
No Answer
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
It does NOT mean you cannot pray, or say, "GOD" in the Pledge of Allegiance, or in an oath of enlistment, or on a plaque behind a judge in a courtroom. To me, it addressed a problem we have resolved in this country thru the Constitution of the United States of America. We no longer have to fight the intertwining of monarchy and the state religion - and all the bureaucracy and intrusion and persecution that came from both.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
I'd like to see less government in our health care. Wouldn't it be nice if health issues were between you and your doctor, not a gatekeeper, a book keeper, an insurance minder, a government leviathan demanding doctors conduct "defensive medicine"? It might sound old school, but it also sounds more personal, more private, more American.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Government has DAMAGED businesses, families, local economies. Colorado has a state budget over $34Billion Dollars. It shut down many businesses for more than one quarter of the calendar year. Shouldn't government shrink its budget accordingly? I would reduce it across the board 25%. It will hurt, but they shut down their source of revenue, and government should not heal before businesses and families are made whole. Too many prioritize government before families. It should not be so.
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Applicants who have applied for immigration thru the proper channels. I support the suspension of any immigration lottery system for the time being at least, as was recently done by President Trump. Legal immigration is a good thing, provided the applicants have something to offer American society.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Disagree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Strongly Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Criminals should not own firearms. Law-abiding Americans should have unrestricted access, without intrusive government fees imposed to conduct any necessary background checks that confirm citizenship, criminal status. Background checks should not be a cash cow for government.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Neutral
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
We should prioritize sunsetting, or retiring laws, more than adding new ones. Too many laws have to be re-looked at, because they were shoddily-written or had an unintended consequence. 500 new laws per 120-day legislative session is asinine, and promotes intrusive, oversized government. That said, given our current civil unrest, I would look at better measures to mask personal/family information of members of Law Enforcement, Department of Corrections, District Attorneys, Judges, possibly others to help reduce risk of violence. Some of these public servants are not fully protected.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Violence cloaked behind racial upheaval is the larger threat. I do not believe the US is systemically racist. The numbers do not bear out such a claim. Marxism and agit-prop media are the biggest threats to domestic security.
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.
Strongly Disagree
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
My website, and the articles I've written, should lay it out clearly.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I served as an enlisted man and commissioned officer in the US Military, with great men and women of our country, with great members of foreign militaries. I have led faithfully, followed faithfully, and was honored to serve with so many persons from other backgrounds, races, regions. It validates my belief that we are a nation of good citizens, great Americans, not the racist, sexist nation the opposition and the enemy would have us believe if we listened to them. My website details more. I am pro-energy - because I have fracked oil in North Dakota and know the spirit and conscientiousness of the American worker to work hard, protect the environment, and keep America energy independent. Can you imagine what the cost of oil WOULD HAVE BEEN during Covid if we did not have our own oil? Like every other crisis, it would have been thru the roof. Instead, it fell, and it helped our economy recover.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I am grateful for this great nation that was bestowed to us all by founders, forefathers, great men and women who fought and built and died to improve our way of life, and standard of living. I consider my candidacy to be an extension of my military service to this country. I served for 32 years, active and reserve, enlisted and commissioned. I was able to run for office, and the country is blighted from within by the enemy of socialism and anti-Americanism. What else could I do? I will remember my oath to this nation every day I am in office, to protect it from all enemies, foreign and domestic. I will trust in my God and keep faith with my fellow citizens. I am humbled by the honor to serve, and will do so to the best of my ability. Thank you. Let's roll.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
Christian. I am private about my beliefs, and do not believe this is the forum to broadcast anything so personal. Perhaps in a private conversation.
