QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Abortion should be allowed when the woman has no choice in becoming pregnant, such as in the case of rape. The decision to abort must be made as soon as possible.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Colorado has a mandate for a balanced budget. It gets around that by taking money from education. This is called the negative factor. I would eliminate the negative factor.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Separation of church and state means that the government can not influence religious beliefs or prefer or establish religious practices. The government can only regulate churches when the rights of citizens are harmed such as if a church practiced slavery. Churches are protected from government.
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
To understand the healthcare problems in the U.S. one must understand the history of these problems. Healthcare traditionally has been expensive and so insurance was made available. Later third-party payments were made legal so the insurance companies paid healthcare providers directly rather than paying the policyholder. This removed the consumer from the price decision equation making our system more like socialized medicine. No one who has an influence on the price of healthcare has motivation to keep the price down. Both providers and insurers make more money if prices go up. A fair market depends on someone competing to keep prices down. As we encourage more cash-only doctors and providers, healthcare will become more affordable and accessible for all. While we have the best socialized healthcare system in the world, it is still a socialized system which means it is highly inefficient as a market.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Anyone willing to seek the freedoms and responsibility of citizenship in the United States through legal means should be allowed to immigrate. This includes cultural assimilation to the American way of life.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. I believe He lives today and we are accountable to Him for our actions. I believe our purpose in life is to choose to follow Him. We all make mistakes and that is part of the process of learning to follow Him. I believe family is a central part of that process as well, as we are all God's children. Family is the fundamental unit of society. All laws and ordinances must be judged for their impacts on the family.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I do not believe that education or experience qualifies a person for office. I believe wisdom is gained from experience and wisdom is what qualifies a person for office. I possess multiple degrees. I worked in multiple industries most particularly education. I've been both a teacher and administrator. As education is the largest part of the Colorado budget, I do think that gives me a unique qualification.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
NO
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I believe in small government. When a government exerts all of its power all the time then when a crisis comes it cannot deal with it. Government should not be a focal point of our lives and when it becomes so, it clearly isn't doing its job.
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.
Strongly Disagree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Neutral
2ND AMENDMENT
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I believe convicted felons should not possess firearms. This is especially true if they used firearms while committing their felonies.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Disagree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
Education reform giving students and parents more options. Education reform that returns control and responsibility to local communities. Protections for religious liberties.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Today we see racism from all directions directed in all directions. It is a threat to the security of the United States as enemies of the US use racism as a weapon to prevent us from acting prudently in many situations. An example of this is the border. Closing our borders was not a racist act no matter what the Chinese Communist Party says. We closed our borders for self-protection. A prudent thing to do.
