OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

The circumstance would be saving the life of the mother.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Government spending could be reduced by eliminating programs that are a duplications or could be better administered at the local/community levels. Reductions of unnecessary regulations that just are there to create another government position or fee would be helpful.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Neutral

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The state does not tell me what religion I must worship. The church does not tell the state how to govern. Each has enormous responsibilities, and co-existence is possible when each stays in their "lane".

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I would promote free market choices for health care for the majority of the population, while also supporting government assistance for those who needs qualify.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

People who want to become citizens of the USA should show their willingness to become citizens by learning to speak English, understand the governmental processes of this country, and show that they can be productive employees. Every immigrant must go through the same process and review before their acceptance.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a lifelong Christian and believe in the tenets of the Apostle's Creed-a Christian statement of belief ascribed to the Twelve Apostles and used especially in public worship. My values are: pro business, limited government, pro second amendment, parental choice/rights, and states rights.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I refer to myself as Conservative because of the values I listed in Question #24. I also recognize that not every situation/problem will be solved in a conservative manner, and compromise is always an option.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have/ been: thirty-plus years of teaching experience, a military wife for many years, lived in this state house district for thirty-plus years, active in the political events of this house district for many years, understand the special qualities and needs of this district, want to make a positive difference for the many people of this district.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

I have NEVER been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

House District 21 is a thriving, growing community and a good place to raise a family. I want to served our community to ensure we continue on that path with opportunities for success for all of us. That's why I'm running to be the next State Representative for House District 21. I appreciate your vote.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

The second amendment was created for a very good reason that is still valid today. It seems that there are sufficient restrictions already in place.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1 - Mental health - recognize the importance of the mental health crisis to include how it affects our Veterans. 2 - Affordable Housing - Safe, clean and affordable housing. I believe that working with all concerned from the state to the local municipal levels to create incentives for more affordable housing to be built. 3 - Pulbic Safety - Clean water, safe schools, and support for our first responders are vital to the strength of any community.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Much that is given the title of "racism" can be attributed to a lack of tolerance, education, and understanding/appreciation of others cultural backgrounds. The above insufficiencies lead to a fear of others. Honest conversations and education are needed. The emotionally charged words of racism can be diluted when people allow themselves to be tolerant, appreciative and understanding. This is not easy or quick, but Americans are very adaptable and can change.
