What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Ryan understands the concept of "separation of church and state" is not found in the Constitution and was originally written in a letter to Baptists from Thomas Jefferson. The original intent of of "separation of church and state" was twofold: 1) to prevent the establishment of a state religion, such as the Church of England, and 2) to prevent the state from interfering in religious matters of the church. Ryan understands that "separation of church and state" was NOT intended to prevent the church or religious organizations from influencing government and politics.

He understands that America was founded upon religious freedom and biblical values and is committed to keeping this foundation strong. He accepts and promotes biblical morality and values, including pro-life, pro-family and limited government.

Ryan has been an outspoken voice for conservative values via public speaking, social media and through his blog and podcast, which can be found at YourFaithAtWork.org.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
Ryan has been an active volunteer in his community over the last decade and has taken action to fix issues he sees. He has worked with non-profits, he is a small business owner, and in his work, he helps businesses improve their operations. Ryan and his wife own a DHS-registered in-home child care and are registered foster parents. Ryan is also involved with several community coalitions, including those related to Child Care and Mental Health.

Ryan has never been charged, convicted or penalized for any of the aforementioned items.

While certain instances of racism certainly exist in the United States today, Ryan does not believe racism in and of itself is currently a threat to domestic security. He is committed to standing alongside with those who have been victims of racism and desires to see all treated fairly and with dignity.
