I believe the constitution must be followed. I believe the legislature must be fiscally responsible and not forget they are spending the citizens money.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have spent the last 42 years serving as a law enforcement officer in Iowa. In my current position as Chief of a State Law Enforcement office which I have held for the last 14 years I have managed a staff of 106 with a $12 million dollar budget. We have had the opportunity to live in a number of communities in various parts of the state. My wife Cheryl and I have been married for 42 years and are both lifelong Iowans. Cheryl is a 2nd grade teacher in the Johnston School District. We have raised 4 children and have 10 grandchildren all of whom have chose to stay in Iowa. I understand and take seriously the opportunity to serve the citizens of Iowa. I believe both my career and life experiences have prepared me for this opportunity. I understand that each decision I make and each vote I cast affects every citizen in some way. Elected officials must be held accountable to each vote they cast and support My commitment is to not forget that
