OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I do not believe that abortion should be permitted in any instance unless it is in consideration of the physical health / life of the mother. Cases of rape and incest, while rare and tragic, are not sufficient cause to deny the birth of human being. I have compassion for those who struggle with unwanted pregnancy, but likewise believe that all innocent life, including life in the womb, is a sacred gift from God and should supported through birth.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

I would concentrate on reducing the funding for a variety of programs and initiatives that have existed for a long time in social services that have not served to improve the quality of life for our citizens. I believe that government should exist for enforcing the laws, providing for a common defense, promoting the general welfare of its people, and enhancing our ability to independently seek the "pursuit of happiness" that espoused in the Declaration of Independence.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The separation of church and state is a Jeffersonian concept, and not a prescribed article of the U.S. Constitution. The Constitution prohibits the establishment of a state religion. Separation to me means that the state cannot interfere with the way that a church patterns its beliefs and doctrine. In the same vein, the church cannot establish itself as the civil government in the nation.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I believe that under our current system of Medicaid and Medicare, sufficient governmental intervention already exists for what is needed in providing coverage as far as the government is concerned. As a Christian, I am also my brother's keeper, and believe in giving personal resources in aiding others, through non-profit organizations and to hospitals that provide relief for those in need. We as a society of caring people have that responsibility, and not some entity like the government which operates without compassion or judgment of need.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Immigration should be patterened in a way that enhances the American society with seeking first those persons desiring to immigrate who can provide advantageous services or productivity to the country. People who apply for appropriate status and wait their turn in line are those who show a sincerity to be productive citizens and who are willing to obey our laws.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian, and subscribe to a belief in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I belive that the Holy Bible in the Word of God, and I regularly attend services at New City Church in Lawrenceville, which ascribes to the teachings of of the Presbytarian Church in America (PCA). I use the Westminster Confession of Faith as a guide in structuring my beliefs. I further belief that Christian fellowship is of great importance in faith, and look to corporate worship through my Church to strengthen and help sustain my faith.

I hold a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice / Public Administration, and am aquainted with governmental operations having been publicly employed in the past for 20 years. My subsequent 20 years of employment with The Coca-Cola Company afforded me the opportunity to travel to 62 countries and to create and embrace a better worldview that I believe would enhance my service in office.

NO

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

No Answer

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Persons who are convicted felons and/or who are clinically diagnosed mentally as being a danger to themselves or someone else should not be permitted to own or posess a firearm. Absent that, the 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution affords citizens the right to bear arms without government interference.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1. Continued support and enhancement of the Heartbeat Bill in Georgia. 2. Legislation providing for improved public safety initiatives and in support of public law enforcement 3. Legislation that reforms the public school system and allows for school choice

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Yes I believe that any act adversely affecting another person based upon their color of skin, ethnicity, religion, or gender serves as a catalyst for not only crime, but acts of terror against not only individuals, but whole groups of persons. We cannot outlaw thought or attitudes, but we should enact and enforce laws where race becomes the ignition point for acts of terrorism.
