QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Only if the mother's life is in jeopardy.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Neutral

iVoterGuide Notes:

“Staff Note: After the voter guide was published, candidate notified iVoterGuide that the intended answer to this survey question should have been ‘Strongly Disagree’.”

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

I would propose the removal of unnecessary forms of government, such as the ATL transportation board.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The first amendment ensures both that the government does not show preference to a certain religion and that the government does not take away an individual’s ability to exercise religion. In other words, the church should not rule over the state, and the state cannot rule over the church. Religion is too important to be a government program or a political pageant.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

By deregulation of the healthcare industry.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Law-abiding immigrates following the processes set by the federal government.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Agree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have spent the last five years working for local government and I understand the importance of local control. I have a Master's degree (May 2020) in Public Policy and I am confident I know how to ask the right questions, research and measure the policy I will be voting on. Most importantly I believe district 20 is a like-minded community, we no longer want representatives who take lobbyist money or PAC money. I have committed to not taking any lobbyist or PAC money, which I believe ensures the best interest of district 20 is keep at all times.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

no

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

Katrina Singletary is a Republican, fiscal conservative, and advocate for her local community. She has spent her career working for nonprofits and state & local government agencies. Most recently, Katrina spent three years managing the office of the City Council of Roswell, GA, and two years managing the office of the Mayor of Roswell. Katrina is a lifelong public servant. Since the age of 15, Katrina has been serving the communities and neighborhoods she lived in. In her twenties, she started a nonprofit to study a high school with high dropout rates and high teen pregnancy rates. Through the efforts of Shower of Hope Inc., state government agencies began the process of talking to one another to better serve this population of at-risk girls. Katrina has been married to Michael, her college sweetheart for 16 years, together they have three children and kinship foster two children.
