What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
It means the government should not manage churches or attempt to control what churches and other religious institution do. For many of us involved in the political world, our faith governs what we do. The government should never monitor or attempt to edit sermons or religious activities. People of faith should be able to practice their faith without government interference.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
We need market based solutions to our healthcare issues. I spent over three decades working with a major health insurer in Tennessee and I can tell you from first hand experience that government run healthcare does not work. Health outcomes do not improve and access to providers, especially specialists are limited. Plus provider reimbursement causes some providers either to not accept Medicare or Medicaid or end their practice. The government can act as a facilitator but should not be running healthcare.

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

I am a believer in Jesus Christ and rest in his saving grace alone for salvation. I can do nothing to merit his divine love - all I have is the blood of Jesus and his mercy. My faith influences how I view the world and the policies I advance as a political leader. It also governs how I conduct myself with others.

My work as a Lay Minister in my church causes me to interact with many people. Within our church, I have a flock of approximately 20 people who I minister specifically to. I worked to start a Saturday night service called Grace Place from scratch 2 years ago which now has 5 to 6 dozen attendees each week. I also assist with home and hospital visits. Additionally, I teach each summer a week of Bible classes to disadvantaged students in my community plus volunteer at a local school. All this allows me to put my faith into action in other people's lives. I have also marched in the March For Life in Washington several times with members from the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I have been involved in politics for over 40 years. My job in the health insurance industry involved working at a national level on legislation and its implementation. In Walker County, Georgia, I led the fight to change our county government from a sole commissioner to a board of commissioners. I worked with State elected leaders to pass legislation to allow a referendum and then campaigned for the issue. I also served as party chairman in Walker County led efforts to elect our statewide ticket in 2018. I am heavily involved in my community including efforts to redevelop the town of Rossville, GA. My experience uniquely positions me to serve the people of Walker and Dade County Georgia.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
In times like these, we need strong, resolute people in public office who are willing to make tough decision about issues like budgets and other issues that won't be the most popular. My faith drives me to my knees to earnestly seek answers from God and do the right, not the popular thing.
